I just recieved this via email. I’ve worked so hard to be debt free and I am nearly there but I have a fear I have missed something along the way. Is this a scam? It’s set my anxiety off and I am panicking

I'd say it's almost certainly a scam - if nothing else, the appalling grammar is a giveaway. Also, any genuine notice of this nature would be delivered via a good old-fashioned letter through your letterbox. Can you show us the email address it came from? That usually gives a pretty good clue as to whether it's genuine or not.0

To get a CCJ the claim has to go to court .
Do you have a CCJ ?
I think what they are doing is what powerless debt collectors normally do to get cash ...manipulation .0 -
No CCJs that I am aware of but I was so stressed a few years ago and in a mess so I constantly panic that something has been missed and I will end up back in this situation

With that email it's definitely a scam. No professional legitimate business uses gmail they will have their own website and email address

Someone with more knowledge will clarify .......but it looks like std debt collector dribble/threats... attempting to illicit cash .1

Thanks for showing the email address. Scam, 100%. No legitimate company would ever use Gmail - or Yahoo, or Outlook, or any of the free providers that you and I would use.Block the sender, delete the email and forget about it.1

Agree that a proper company would have a professional business email account. The written English is also poor - usually indicative of a scam.

Yup 100% a scam just on the grammar. Add in the Gmail email address and lack of a website using that name just adds to that conclusion.
Don't engage with them.0 -
Thank you so much everybody. I really appreciate your responses and your reassurance ♥️1

I'm sure that one day these scammers will produce a text that is legally correct and believable.
For now we can just mark it 100% scam and block it without much thought1
