Forgot to change my VC5 and a year later received a notice for Debt Recovery on CCJ

Options
I received a Notice of Debt Recover on a Unpaid County Court Judgement. I had no knowledge of the original PNC, or the county court judgement or any other communications relating to this matter. I believe all communication was sent to my prior address as I forgot to update my VC5 form (since updated). Due to not receiving any communications of the county court judgement was made on 23/09/2024 so I am well past paying this debt and still getting it removed from my credit record. Is it worth submitting a N244 to set aside , or should i cut my loses pay the baliff and live with the six year mistake of not changing my VC5 form ?

How much is the CCJ for?
  • I do not have the CCJ itself only a Notice of Debt Recovery for the unpaid CCJ which is 473.02 GBP

    1. Which company is chasing you for the CCJ debt?

    2. Which parking firm issued the original parking charge?

    3. If you did not receive the court claim because you no longer lived at the address at which the claim was served, you have every chance of obtaining a mandatory set aside, so don't go knee jerking into paying this as that will do nothing positive for you.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

And 4. Striking the claim out because of the 4 months rule.

As this is a PCN rather than private parking company the OP would be better off posting on the FTLA forum.

It's not clear on that. Hence my questions 1 and 2 above.

    It can't be.

You can't get a CCJ from a council PCN.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    1. DCBL (direct collection balliffs ltd)
    2. UK car park management limited
    3. Is there a time limit to file the N244 ?

    Thank you for the help

Can you tell me more about striking out the claim please ?
