Morning allGlad everyone is safe after yesterday's awful weather. How disgusting @RedRuby1231 that you had to tell the so called 'experts' how to do their job properly. Let's hope Rob's life will get better for him.DS1 is coming over to DS2 tomorrow to help him put a new patio down. It's quite a small area so shouldn't be too difficult between the 2 of them. They are both mad on Twinks so I made some this morning to take down to help keep their strength up tomorrow!Breadmaker is also doing it's thing too.Have a good day all x8

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers. I'm glad to hear (so far) that everyone is safe and well after yesterday's battering from Storm Floris. We escaped the worst of it here, not a great deal in the way of rain - apart from a downpour early afternoon - lots of sun later in the day but with persistent gusty winds. I had to retrieve my empty planters at one point and close the bedroom window last night as the curtains were either flapping about madly or being sucked out! Like you @Ruby, I felt cold in bed last night but don't want to put the duvet back on just yet. Today we're forecast showers throughout the day until late afternoon when we might get some sunshine, still windy, and top temperatures of 19 deg.
Yesterday didn't go as planned at all. DS didn't call in for any tools as his blood test appointment was running late (how can that be so early in the morning?) and had to go to work straight after. Stage 3 of tool sorting didn't happen either as it was a day full of various interruptions - appliances beeping when they'd finished (WM - twice - and bread maker), junk mail, several unwanted phone calls, two deliveries - one for NDN and the new TV for me. That wasn't until late afternoon so it's still in its box in the hallway.
New day, I'll try again once I've got the "dailies" out of the way. Today I'm having a cobbled together tea of leftover cooked sausage, mushrooms and half a packet of garlic & mushroom sauce mix - it screams out for pasta, with grated cheese on top of course!
@Scarlet - Best wishes for DH's scan this afternoon, hope your hairdo survives!
@TA - Glad to hear you're OK, I was worried about you in that caravan.
@Gers and @camelot - Same goes for you up in Scotland, glad your power stayed on.
@Ruby - I'm so pleased to hear Rob will have an advocate - well done, it wouldn't have happened without your persistence!
@snoozer - Had to smile when you said the inside of your house looks like a tornado has hit! Ironic, given the weather outside. Shame about the mattress though.
@nanny - Fingers crossed the new caravan site in Somerset will be a good change for you and DH and that you'll be able to continue 'vanning for a bit longer.
Right, let's see if I can make some progress with today's plans. Take care all and have the best day you can. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -

Hope everyone is ok.No real bad weather here other than an hour or torrential rain which didn’t appear to even touch the garden. My friends in the highlands have had no power or phone for nearly 24 hours and lost some trees but they’re safe.Take care all

Ruby, such good news about Rob that he has care away from home and an advocate - well done for making the PTB aware of the failings in the decision making.
Snoozer, does the storage unit have insurance that would cover the mattress? Or do Laura & Brian have insurance on their belongings?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
