UKPC wrong parking space address on NTK

Options
Hello just a quick question as I can’t see this in the FAQ. I have successfully appealed at Popla on a different issue many years ago so remember some of the basics.

On this occasion I parked with residential permit in the right space for my flat, but over the white line - one of the spaces is far wider than the others so I must have made a mistake - only moved here in March so a NTK and pic of this took me by surprise. They are not numbered spaces and there is always room for all residents. The white lanes are not even full lines - just marks at the end. My permit was clearly displayed. I need to read their signage tomorrow.

The NTK however did not provide the correct street name of where the car was parked. So it was over white line but not where they said it was. The street continues from the one they named, but has a different name. I haven’t appealed yet. NTK received a few days ago - no windscreen ticket. I wonder whether their error re name of street would be grounds to appeal alone?

thanks

Ps also the wrong postcode to the place it was parked. They sent the ticket to my home address, the adjoining street, as the spaces are directly outside the flats.

I've appealed to the 'parking charge' today online (had no windscreen notice). The sign they added to the online details was not the same sign - the one nearest where the car was parked is so filthy that it can hardly be read. the paint on the ground is faint and the spaces are uneven. In the dark you can hardly see any of it though my main reason for appealing is they named the wrong street and how can they legally charge me for parking somewhere when the photographic evidence doesn't match the street name they gave?! I also have a permit for a different street address (parked correctly in that street apart from the white line).

Thanks Coupon-mad. Will do. Would Popla usually uphold an appeal if there is an error on the NTK?

I’ll go and take photo now as they might clean the sign 😆

No, your MUCH stronger point is dated (metadata showing, for evidence) photos of that dirty sign and scrappy 'bay lines' taken with no flash, in the pitch black...

..like now - get out there!

Perfect evidence of no lines visible!  That's what usually kills cases at POPLA.

    Where's the sign?
