Hi,
I have just completed a bank switch to Santander, the app is decent and allows me to link other accounts I have (other than Chase) but the biggest gripe I have, why doesn’t Santander send push notifications for payments in and out?!

Surely this isn’t that hard when my other bank - Barclays and other banks - Chase, Starling, etc, which they all do?

Have you tried settings > notifications > enable?0

They have recently stopped sending most of the notifications. There’s an earlier thread on this on this forum .
Notifications I still get are:
- when I go overdrawn
- when I use the debit card0 -

sorry - I’m not sure what you mean? I’m on IPhone 16, latest app, latest IOS, and all notifications are on?I don’t get any push notifications off the app at all, nothing going into the account, nothing going out of the account.0 -

yes I know you’re on about SMS and email alerts, I’m just on about the app notifications, to say you spent so much at a transaction or money going in?
I messaged support and they said this will be coming soon, but you get this already?0 -

If you want to push notifications (and I for one find them very useful) then I would recommend you switch to a bank that supports them - for example Lloyds who do a very good job of them.1

Lloyds regularly have switch offers and although they tend to be to their paid-for club Lloyds account it is easy to switch and then downgrade to their free account0
