Received a parking ticket in a pub car park - went to court - what can I do now?

Hi all,
A while ago, I got a parking ticket in a pub car park. The rule for the car park was that it could be used if you were using the pub facilities, which I was - I went in to use the toilet, and before doing so, I asked the owner if I could use the facilities, and she said yes. She didn’t mention anything about entering my registration on the pub’s iPad system, which I later found out was required due to getting a parking ticket through my postbox. Alongside this, where it tells you to enter your reg in is not easy to notice whatsoever.
I didn’t pay the ticket, and now it’s been escalated to the county court level. I believe I was in the right, since I followed the stated condition of using the pub’s facilities and even got explicit permission from the owner. That said, I’m worried about the impact on my credit score and want to know what my options are now that it's been sent to court.
What should I do next? Is there any way to challenge this or explain my case? And how do I prevent this from affecting my credit?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

But there's no impact on your credit score as long as you defend. Not even if you lose because you'd then pay LESS THAN THE CLAIM.

Which court ? What is the issue date from the top right of the claim form
Name the private parking company and the lawyers involved too
Have you submitted your AOS and defence yet ?
If the MCOL via the CNBC claim is recent then no court has been allocated yet

I haven't submitted anything yet unfortunately. I'm going to call them up today but I think I might have been fairly hard done by considering it came so late and is now on my credit score.0 -
Didn't answer my questions though, not enough background information, who is "them" ?0

But it is the HM Courts & Tribunals Service and it was dated on the 30th June. However, it came 10-11 days ago.
The company was Parking Eye but I don't have the lawyers on me.
I have not submitted my AOS or defense yet.

So issue date was 30th June and I assume that it was an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton ?
You had 19 days to complete the AOS, so by 19th July 2025 ( regardless of any delays )
By now it's likely that a judgment has been issued on behalf of Parking Eye ( possibly with dcb legal involved too )
Do you have a Judgment for claimant letter ?
Post redacted pictures of the N1 claim form below, and any Judgment letter, but HIDE your name and address, the claim reference number, the password, the VRM details and any pcn reference, no personal information but leave the dates showing
Double check that you have redacted the above, then show us the 2 redacted pictures
Try to login to MCOL via your government gateway account and copy and paste your claim history below too1 -
This is the claimant letter. I was waiting for the next pay day before I pay it which was the Friday just gone, and then I was gonna pay yesterday.
Sorry what are AOS, MCOL

That is not the N1SDT claim form, nor does it show me the date either, which I said don't redact, its just a generic template sheet with no relevant information , a cover letter that everyone receives
Acronyms and initialisms are explained in the 5th post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, so look there too1 -
Please just log into MCOL using the password on the bottom right in the Claim Form and see if you can still defend.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
