Morning, thanks Gers.
It's raining here as forecast.
Not much on today, just the reading group in the library and a visit to my old friend up the road. That's if I can stay awake, I've had a terrible night.
Yesterday was a quiet day just a bit of shopping and housework.
Hope everyone is ok and has good days, take care folks.15 -
Morning allQuiet day today. Want to pop up to shop that sells a large mixture of stuff and want to get some descaler as shower head needs a clean and I've run out. Apart from that nothing else going on today.Won't be going out into the garden today as it's going to get very blustery later. On that note I hope all of you in the eye of Storm Floris keep safe and hopefully have no damage to contend with xHave a good day all x15

.morning folks and greetings from the 'van in a not so sunny Nidderdale! The rain is currently bouncing down and the winds due mid morning. I got.out a few scented candles and charged up what I could last night in case of power cuts later. DS and his DP are due to fly from Manchester to the Canaries this afternoon, eek. Unless flights are cancelled.
No plans for venturing out in this weather and a selection of books beside me. Thoughts with GERS and CAMELOT especially in this weather and I hope everyone else is safe. Take care all xx

Hi all
Just grey here in the midlands at the moment. Thinking off all those in the storm zone -stay safe.Yesterdays’s book binding course was great fun - my head was very tired when I got home.
Trip to the fabric shop today followed by a catch up with my craft fair buddy and the usual swop of bits of things we’ve found for each other. Some window cleaning needed too (insides) and maybe some painting!Take care

It's already a bit rough outside, mostly heavy rain though the high winds are due at about 10.00a.m. Yesterday was lovely, sunny and enough of a breeze to dry the washing in good time. I took the grass cuttings to the tip and stopped at the Viking festival, had a wander but a lot of the activities and stalls weren't there after Saturday. In the afternoon I binged watched five episodes of Dexter Resurrection, not sure it was a good use of my time even though I enjoyed it.Today is probably mostly on hold. The jury is out if I am going to the exercise class as I'd be leaving just as the mayhem is due to start. Hope you're OK @TA. Keep safe everyone, not sure if there's anyone more north than me though I know that Glasgow may well be hit badly. The north of England also has an amber warning so batten down those there. The east coast will get the winds later on.Lovely binding @AA. It's always fascinating to watch the chap on the Repair Shop do his work, it's exquisite.Hugs to all.14

Morning all, grey and dull , maybe rain here later, still not complaining, the earth is cracked quite deeply and definitely needs a drink. If it stays dry ish thogh I'll go to the allotment. There is washing to do but I'm not sure about it getting dried. Other thn that, not a lot today, I made a chicken roast yesterday so there's all that again for today.Nanny, lovely to see you back, not so great about the bodies not performing as per the plan and your dad. Shame about the dgn, but hopefully he can use this to build resilience. And lucky really there aren't 50 shades of grey...
TA, hop you're ok in your caravan through this storm...Allie, that book binding looks really good, what a great course to go on. Gers, fingers crossed it's not too bad for you. Yorkslass, well done learning chess! I still prefer draughts though, I can do the basics but any further move planning is beyond me. Scarlet, that place sound quite nice, maybe one day I'll stir my bones to go and look. Izzy, that was a very mse piece of beef! Kynren sounds interesting, I'd never heard of it before, just goes ot show, there's loads more here I haven't seen and dont know about never mind going abroad...Take care all in the path of the storm, hope it's not too bad!

Morning all
Dull and overcast here and rain due this afternoon I have some washing on the line so will get that in shortly.I am off to mums this morning to do some work, she got a chicken out of her freezer so I will make her a roast for tonight and tomorrow and she can have the rest for sandwiches, I will also start to tidy and clean her sewing room which is a dumping ground for everything.
Not sure about dinner tonight for us I will go and look in the freezer after this, maybe something quick like bacon egg and chips.
The larder cupboard is looking fab 😃 I am waiting for some labels to arrive so that I can finish it off, I ended up rearranging a lot of the kitchen as well so that’s also looking better.
Gers I am probably the furthest south although we may have a poster on the Isle of Wight possibly!
Stay safe those in the path of the storm xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning everyone I’m off out to meet my friend for a coffee and a catch up we usually go for a walk first but we are giving it a miss today it’s tipping down no high winds yet but they are forcast. Ended up going to Dalton park yesterday after a rainy start the weather got out lovely I came home and pegged out the washing I left on the airer it all dried in no time I only bought a fleecy body warmer reduced to 10 pounds only to put it in the wardrobe next to the identical one I bought at the beginning of the year never mind they will get plenty of wear I never have one off when the weather starts to turn colder. I will find plenty to do in the house today . Stay safe everyone especially the people further north. Lovely binding AA lovely colours. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning all again, just lost my post grr. It's been raining hard in the NW so far but may be easing so will grab the chance to take LDog out. We got soaked yesterday morning & his harness had to go in the boiler cupboard to dry off. I'm going to have to get some new waterproof boots. I got some good ones online last year but they are really hard to get on and off so I think they can go to the CS.We had a chicken roast too RR, only a small one from the butchers so I cooked it in the Remoska, diced new cornish spuds with garlic and rosemary, and a kind of ratatouille as I had a soggy aubergine to use up. Strawberries for after. There is enough for me later, curry for DS, and I'll need to find something for DH.AA, those books look fab!Take care in the storm if you are affected.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you're ok in the storm. It's wet and very windy out there this morning - the plum tree in a big pot has blown over but if that's all that happens I'll be happy although it's to get worse over the next couple of hours. DD and family are on the Isle of Lewis, hopefully safe and dry - they booked more suitable accommodation for last night and tonight - a tentbox isn't the best in this weather! I said I would go and check her garden for anything that may blow away but have decided against it - too risky to go out at the moment. I'll see what it's like later.
Glad you have your new cupboard sorted Ruby.
Lovely books Allie.
Stay safe and cosy TA.
Had to laugh at your double fleece purchase Izzy, shows you like it!
No allotments today for me, I'll stay in and maybe do some housework (but I have a book to finish and the rest of The Crown to watch!).
Take care everyone. XX
