Edge Saver Closure - What happens to the outstanding interest due?

I wish to close my Edge Saver as it is coming to end of bonus rate and then reopen another one but what happens to my outstanding interest due?

If you close it via online chat then you can choose where it goes.1

as above. empty the account then close, you're only waiting for the interest. open new account as soon as old one has gone from your account list. job done.
p.s incase you're unaware, open live chat and start with asking to "close account", rest is obvious.2 -
Closed one via live chat last week, took 3 days for the process to complete. Opening a new replacement took minutes.2
