Why is my quote over £100 higher than the estimate on the MSE website?

Could be MSE is just basing on current costs & supplier is taking into account the 3 monthly changes. Given the expectation of increases.🤷♀️Life in the slow lane0

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your efforts in helping me understand “my dilemma” 😄.
As of today, everything is sorted. The MSE estimates and prices were correct, as were mine. It turns out the Home Energy website had a glitch... or maybe they were hoping an unwary switcher wouldn’t notice and would bite the bait and overpay!
Today, their figures were accurate, and I was able to switch to them with no problems. Please see the screenshot below. So, no WHD-related explanation, no “buffer-building” through a monthly DD higher than the amount suggested by the smart meter; none of that.
Lesson learned: Don’t rush! Do the maths, and only then agree to the deal.
Thanks again.
Have a great day!
