Faulty Cupra Born - need to return.

You need to focus your efforts on one source (the finance company who your contract is with) and stop communicating directly with the dealer.rainbow143 said:
Thank you for your reply. Yes, it's been in the workshop twice for the same fault and still hasn't been resolved. I have done exactly as you have recommended - written to both the dealership and finance company telling them I am rejecting the car. This car has left the factory with a fault. It hasn't functioned as promised since the day I bought it. I am awaiting a response. The frustrating issue is that I put all my correspondence to the dealership in writing, but they phone me to respond, so I don't have a paper trail. Thanks again.Ergates said:
The car has been in the workshop twice for this same issue? Or for some other issue?rainbow143 said:The fault persisted, and to cut a very long story short, the car returned to the workshop last week for the second time, but the fault remains. The manager has stated that many Cupra Born currently have this fault. Having Googled this, I can confirm that many owners are complaining about this fault since 2024.
I'd contact both the dealership you bought it from and the finance company and tell them you are *rejecting* the car (not returning it) under the consumer rights act as it does not conform to contract (as it is faulty, meaning some of the functions you have paid for do not work). What (exactly) have the finance company said when you’ve raised it with them ?0 -
Take notes in a diary --date, time, person you spoke with, their role or responsibility, ask if they are recording the call, details of the conversation etcrainbow143 said:

If the issue is just with the app.
Then the car maybe OK, it is the remote server that is the issue, with lack of connection to car.Life in the slow lane0
