Its new cupboard day today 😬 I am very excited I am just waiting for a call from the delivery guys to confirm the time of arrival, yesterday I washed all my new spice jars so they are ready to fill and label, it’s ridiculous that I am so excited 😂I'm excited for you!Great to see you back @Taff - we've been worried about you and MrFixit - sorry that your health is worsened so much. Oh, and Happy Big Birthday to you. Comes to us all!Had an interminable chat conversation with one bank, it's so blooming slow, and got things sorted. Apparently it's the system to not do an instruction but not give a reason. Not so helpful but the remote chap was.

Back with you and boxing gloves not needed! My bag of meds was sat there ready and waiting to pick up and pharmacist had no idea why I didn't get the text telling me it was all ready! What with the sackless treatment at the surgery, followed by similar at Boots, is it any wonder I need my BP meds. I've avoided testing it myself whilst I have been without one of the tabs or it would have shot up even more!
Update from DD half an hour ago. Now at the ferry port safe and sound! So I can relax a bit now and get on with packing some clothes to take tomorrow and sorting what unperishable food I can pack and assembling frozen and fridge stuff ready to get out in the morning. Seems like a lot for one person but no shop on site or even near and I can't do with going hungry!
Nice to have you back NAN, we have been worrying about you missing for so long. Sorry things are not good with you all. Growing older has a lot to answer for hasn't it. And belated happy birthday. You are still a spring chicken by my standards! Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Hello all from Mehefinland
Thank you for all your good wishes-we had a terrific night, and I think we did her proud!! There will be a few sore heads today. It's going to be use-ups for lunch, tea, supper and possibly breakfast for the next few days. All my guests brought something for the table - it was a generous gesture on all of their parts. Funnily enough I got given quite a few sunflowers too - can't imagine why: I think the last one rolled off home about midnight and I was up with the larks to do the animals and continue the clearing up, before poodling off to the beach litter pick. It took the banana loaf with me ( I would never have eaten it all myself anyway,) and it was well received - well none came back home !!
Off to a 100th birthday do this afternoon, but I won't stay long - still recovering from last night, plus I need to sort out the garden stuff before the threatened rain sweeps in. The gazebo is a pain to do at the best of times-might need to draft in some assistance
Lovely to see Nan back in the fold. Hugs and spoons as always.

Good afternoon 😊
Lovely photo, @Gers
I am all worn out after our hike today. We managed just under twenty-one km. Mostly, we were shaded, but when in direct line of sunlight, it was hot. The chickpea protein bars I made yesterday, were very well received. They firmed up in the fridge overnight, and were perfect to take with us.
On the way home, I stopped off at Aldi, and did a small shop, along with some picnic foods, as we are going to an outdoor theatre show tomorrow afternoon. I also picked up something quick and easy for tonight - hot honey sausages for the meat eaters, and plant based sausages for myself, along with some spiced potato wedges. We will have those shortly, along with a side salad. Then, it’s off to bed with a book, and a well earned rest.
Hope you’ve all had a good day 😊9 -
Hello everyone
A late visit from me today, I've just been having a catch up before I go to bed.
I'm pleased you had a good night last night Mehefin.
Little one and I had a lovely afternoon at our nearest beach, it was warm and sunny with a beautiful bright blue sky...not bad for the Northumberland coast. We paddled in the sea...which was freezing and did lots of digging and finished off with an ice cream ....she said it was the most perfect day! x7
