Best solution for weeding block paving?

I have a large block paved drive which I always weed using a wire brush, unfortunately as i get older it is getting harder and injuring my back.

Don't normally like using chemicals but does anybody have any suggestions on what they use which is effective and easy to do?

We use a weed burner, aka a blow torch with a long nozzle, on our patio pavers.. Pretty effective, quick and no chemicals.

Also really satisfying seeing those weeds shrivel!

Having tried a weed burner, I think it's a rather slow process. I use a wire brush on a long pole and a spray bottle of weed killer.

The idea with the weed burners is to just heat them enough to kill them, you don't need to burn them to a crisp.  That might make it quicker.

We give our block paving a good seeing to with wire brushes every year, so feel your pain!.  Then we brush in dried sand treated with weed inhibitor (Wickes).  That, and the odd squirt of weedkiller does the job.
