Hello

We've had a leak due to some shower issue fixed by our builder some time ago but we're worried about further leaks as sometimes we hear a dripping noise after/while using the shower on the level below but no actual leak can be seen.

So we wondered if there were any recommendations for home insurances that cover water leaks that may potentially be longerstanding but only really become detectable later?

From reading online briefly, a lot of insurance providers only pay out for sudden leaks but now gradual leaks? Where for example water damage starts showing on walls or ceilings.

We'd rather not get an insurance that would let us down if things were to happen.

Thanks in advance

That sounds like a maintenance issue so no insurance will cover it.
You probably need a plumber to explore and maybe open up flooring or ceiling to investigate and fix if required.
