Final questions about Probate and IHT

Apologies but also thanks if you have already answered some of my previous questions. I'm doing the Probate myself for my deceased mother. I have filled out the form and requested my IHT reference which will be posted in the coming weeks, I have filled out forms IHT400, 405, 406, 409 and 435 and they are sitting in my laptop folder awaiting the IHT reference when I receive it. I have created a Probate  Application account on Gov.UK and completed it up to the point where I will need to submit it.
Once I have added the IHT reference number to all the forms (above) do I print them out and send physical copies to HMRC, or can I upload them somewhere? Am I able to complete my Probate application and press Submit before I hear back from HMRC or do I have to wait. Due to the assets being lower than the threshold for assets left to children, I do not expect to pay Inheritance tax.
Therefore, my two questions are: where do I send all the IHT forms and can I submit the Probate application before I hear back from HMRC about Inheritance Tax? Many thanks for any advice.

I have recently gone through the IHT and Probate processes as a novice Executor. I found the people at HMRC and Probate to be approachable and helpful.

If I remember correctly, I completed the forms online but you cannot submit them online yet. I had to print everything out and post it. I also had to apply for a Reference number, which came back in good time.

At one point I had to make an enquiry about my application, and rang the probate Office. I was clearly advised my application for Probate would proceed more smoothly if I waited for HMRC to approve my IHT form, and get the code from them.

This turned out to be excellent advice. My IHT application went through ok, and with the code from HMRC, probate was done and dusted in 2 weeks. Probate was done online, no problems there.

Just checking is the value of the whole estate below £650k, assuming widowed, or £325k if single/divorced?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
