Morning all. Thanks for the start Gers.August already! My friend who I worked with at the prison popped round yesterday which was lovely as I hadn't seen her for ages as she has been busy taking her poor mum in law to hospital for treatment daily for bowel cancer. We had a good natter and catch up.Off out shopping later but apart from that nothing else going on.Have a good day all x16

Morning again - I'm all shiny again and raring to go, not sure where, but I'm ready!Yesterday was a lovely day, it made me go all productive.
I did lots of little jobs which had been lingering on for too long. My jacket got lovely and dry, I think...as I forgot about it and left it out all night. Bum! It can hang out a bit more, I'll leave myself a note to take it in later.
This morning I have two returns to take to the delivery office. It's only open for two hours so need to keep an eye on the clock. I don't need any shopping so have no idea what else the day will bring me apart from the monthly banking.Lovely to hear about your little one having a great time at Butlins @DP1, and how her health is improving. Sorry, can't remember much more about yesterday's thread apart from 'happy holiday' to @WL. Haven't heard from @SO for a wee while, hope you're OK.Hugs to all.PS - remembered about @Ruby's new client - such a shame, I hope that you find a new one soon.16 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's looking a bit gloomy out there but still no rain. I had a text from DD earlier with pics of flooding on the Isle of Wight. In particular East Cowes as that is where they are all heading tomorrow. A big group of them meet up annually for Cowes Week. Fingers crossed all is clear by the time they get there tomorrow early evening. I hope it hasn't affected JackieO and family.
I have a grocery delivery due onwards from 8 a.m. so up and at 'em in readiness. It's the first delivery I have had in ages, since I started Sunday shopping with DS. But he is taking me to the van 'early Sunday morning and I want to have everything I need sorted and packed in readiness. I have done another meal plan to save ramming all sorts of random foodstuffs in! The heatwave scuppered my meal plan last visit as I couldn't face cooking in the heat!
Friday Tidy today and still awaiting a text from B**ts about my meds so if that happens this morning I'll pop down this afternoon to collect them. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Take care all xx

Morning all and happy new month
Lovely couple of days in Wales including a wonderful walk around a reservoir with very good friends. Very quiet so Bdog got to be off lead for most of the 7 miles, plus had a huge swim so he was very happy, and very tired.Back to it now with a huge to do list which is already giving me anxiety but that’s my fault for keep going away! Will see how much gets done around everything else today though none of it is really urgent.Best wishes to all

Good morning from a bright but cool Mehefinland.
Well today is the last of the Firsts-and I decided that wasn't going to mope so I'm having some friends and neighbours around this evening for nibbles and a glass . I will lose myself in the self generated hard work, or so I thought, but it has snowballed as two of my friends are ex caterers and have risen to the occasion!! My contribution is reduced somewhat but I am doing smoked salmon blinis ( blinis were rtc stuff so MSE - and the salmon I got at our foodshare - the original ticket price was eyewatering!) and a cheese board. I've also been baking - sticky ginger, a banana bread ( I had bananas forced on me at the foodshare) and a Bailey's coffee fruitcake! We won't go hungry!
Off to find some sunflowers in a bit - they are a bit sparse on the ground this year for some reason ,
Had a Jackie Lawson ecard at 2.05am which I could have done without!! Well not the card, but the time, as it brays out on my 'phone. It's going to be a strange day.
Hugs and spoons as always-and particularly to the poodles.

Morning all! In the eighth month of the year already! Blimey....Tip run today so I'll ifnish filling the car once I've had breakfast. There's a bit of a wooden structure thing to remove too that was hiding pipes and whatnot, and I may have to saw a door in half but other than that, potentially a bit of making a bed, weed control, something like that or some allotment, who knows, the world=oyster or somethingdp1, good to hear sh'es been good, did you get any joy re hands and feet? Gers, you're beginning to sound a bit stir crazy
how about a few days away somewhere? TA, enjoy your weekend! Allie, don't worry, jobs can always wait
mehefin, for a second there, I was reading it as a Jackie Weaver card and I thought, how appropriate! Hope your day goes quickly and without drama. Yorkslass, did satge 2 go alright? Izzy, yeah, that's the silent price of caring, it just knackers you, as I expect SunAddict can attest to [ and anyone else caring no matter their relationship]...Well, take care all, enjoy whatever weather you're having, for us at the moment, sunny but that can change in a heartbeat

Morning all, dull & drizzly again. Thanks Gers.I was missing yesterday, it seemed to be a busy all day. DH was renewing our front garden gate to prevent accidental dog escapes. The last one was hand made by my uncle but had sadly started to rot so we took it off (I'm using the royal we here, you understand
) The new one was ordered online and seems decent. It got painted but then involved drilling into the stone gateposts as it was a slightly different height to the old one so took a bit longer than anticipated. My cousin came to meet Lennydog, and brought a big dog chew which he shied away from at first, but then kept him quiet for ages. Our friends are calling this afternoon to see him too, I wish we had as many visitors! DS2 & DGS called on the way back from footie training too, to see him and eat our biscuits.
I need to pick up a meat pack from the butchers, as the menfolk have been complaining that we're eating chicken a lot. I had a delivery from Oc**o yesterday too so well stocked now.Mehefin, well done on the baking, enjoy your evening.Ruby, hope mums leg feels better soon, shame about the new lad. Can't remember much else, I caught up with yesterday's news prior to posting though and hope you all have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning
Very dull outside at present, haven't looked at the forecast yet.
Today's main job is shopping with the family in mind. DD has ordered an Oc*do delivery for Monday, but getting out of her what shes ordered isnt easy. Just the usual things to help out Mum, was her answer. She has until Sunday night to change or order more, so will liaise over the weekend. I asked youngest dgd (7) what she would like to eat at nan's house her answer, a Kinder egg thing. So will look for that when shopping.
Other than that, nothing else planned.
Derek, raise that glass high, and smile at your memories x
Have a good day all, take care.14
