To mark 200 years since the birth of the modern railway, Hitachi Rail is opening the doors of its Newton Aycliffe factory for the very first time - and you could be there!

We’re giving away 10 family ticket bundles (normally worth £60) to this exclusive, sold-out Open Day on Saturday 4th October, as part of the national Railway 200 celebrations.

This is your chance to:

• See the replica of Locomotion No.1, the world’s first public passenger locomotive, up close on site, with the chance to capture photos on Hitachi’s test track
• Step inside a live, state-of-the-art train manufacturing plant
