10 PCN’s from Smart Parking, DCB LEGAL court claim 2025

Hi all I’m in a bad situation. So I think it’s worse than others as it’s 10 x fines at £170 each. Long story short, I started at a new gym that rents the building and has access to a car park which is owned by smart parking. Everyone has had trouble over the years and the advice was to not respond and you’ll not have to pay. But of course my luck is that I now have a multiple fine amount of £1700 from 5 years ago and I can’t seem to get the land owner to sort this as it’s a charity (so I’ve heard). The dates they have accused me off could simply be down to error on either side, maybe the machine was out of service and couldn’t take payment or I went over by seconds. I generally can’t remember and cannot prove this. Since 2 years ago they updated their machines to take card and updated signage as so many people were complaining.

I am to send a response tonight with the help of the forum but I am worried if this doesn’t work out for me.

could someone help guide me through as I’ve never seen such extortionate amounts across the forum.

thanks

Its actually 10 pcns at £100 each,  so its actually a grand in reality

Definitely not fines, just 10 invoices from Smart Parking for the alleged breach of the parking contract on that private property

For now, email the LoC template response to DCB Legal,  from the newbies sticky thread in announcements,  2nd post

Then start drafting your defence ready for the inevitable court claim in a month or two  ( adapt the new template defence by coupon mad in announcements   )

Thank you! What will my defence say? I feel like I haven’t got a leg to stand on

You will have to decide what your paragraph 3 in the defence template should be,  you know the circumstances

I was pointing out errors in your account,  so to give you the basic but true facts  ( no pcn is more than £100  )

Another error is that you said that the car park is owned by Smart parking,  definitely NOT true, Smart dont own car parks, they are a contractor,  working on behalf of the landowner or landlord,  so yes the landowner might be a charity

Given the amount involved,  you may need to speak to Contestor Legal, if a court claim is issued,  but wait for further replies and advice in the meantime

Everybody has legs to stand on, everyone has a defence too

It'll be easy to defend. I doubt DCB Legal will manage to plead ten PCNs properly (with dates) in a Claim form.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Adding the fake £70 to each ticket is called EXTORTION and the County Courts do not approve EXTORTION

IT'S A SCAM which the courts know about

Morning all this is an email I have received this morning. I sent my email to DCB Legal not QDR. Should I open it?

I would suggest that you ignore it completely,  I would avoid it like the plague

Thank you so should I just delete it and wait for nothing else other than DCB Legal responses?

Could you also point me in the right direction to my next response please. You referenced my paragraph 3 earlier on this forum, where do I pick it up.

Delete it or leave it alone, just don't open it or login or anything   ( I dont personally care what you do with it as long as you dont open it and dont follow its instructions   )

I would definitely only deal with the claimant,  the parking company and the CNBC in Northampton or the courts

    What...?

In July, the LBC was from DCB Legal.

Personally I WOULD click on it and view QDR's letter. They are a law firm. Read it.
