wrong price tag! help!

Hiya, we hit the shops today hoping to bag a few bargains. We went into Woollies and spotted a good coat for our 7 year old, it had been marked down from £19 to £2 but looking further the other same coats had been marked down from £19 to £12, someone had not put down the one infront of the two. Anyhow we thought we'd be cheeky and try and get it for that price but they wouldnt let us. My question is: Can we make a fuss over this? the price was clearly marked £2. I know its making a fuss but its about principal now as we where treated shoddily when we complained.

afraid you can't. Sale of goods act and invitation to treat and all that stuff.

Besides, you knew that it was meant to be £12 and you were trying it on so I'm afraid yo got caught out, just put it down to experience.

i've a baby on my lap so sorry 4 abbs. thanx 4 your reply, yes i was trying to pull a fast one there but i thought i was within my rights lol. i'll know in future now and will leave em alone b4 i make a fool of myself,

There are also a lot of people who swap price tags on to other products (not saying this is you by the way) and the shops obviously need to beware of this.

That being said, i'd be gutted if I saw a bargin and it didn't come up trumps!!!
