British Gas! Avoid?

Well despite the horror stories, I thought I would try a Switch to BGas thru CEC, as they were the cheapest big supplier (2 days ago). 

They have already pulled the tariff! 

Anyway, there is a problem with the meter numbers.  
I've tried phoning them, thinking it would be easy to sort out, but no! 

What a pain of a company to deal with. I'm wondering if I should switch somewhere else now! 

Anyway,,,, has anyone go a link to the metre database, so I can try and match my meter numbers with the correct address, so I can help them or switch somewhere else?

I always recall moving into a house with BG, trying to use their phone system which would not work unless you had an account number to put in even if you were a new customer. Not sure if their chat system works if you are not logged into an account but if you have half an hour to waste waiting for a c/s person to magically appear then wasn't  too bad (two years ago!)

The hold time wasn't too bad, they just seem incapable of fixing the problem.

Even though I had an account number and postcode, the system didn't understand it, as it was switching in issue
