After loads of enquires and issues and resolved queries we are at a stage where our finally things may get over and contracts be exchanged precisely 5 months no chain house. We as well as the seller is waiting for a final approval of an enquiry and our solicitor is not responding with an answer. usually she says 48 hours now its almost double that and nothing(never answers the phone number assigned)we are frightened to complain as last time we did so she replied very rudely and we are afraid she may be even more slow or stop working on our case altogether.
our anxiety and stress levels are to the roof and we only get an answer saying they will be reviewed when we get time

Conveyancers are usually working on multiple cases and with fine margins. There's no excuse for poor communication, but it's fairly common even with the good ones - your purchase is the most important to you, but just one of many to them. If it was me I'd give it until Monday morning now, then chase up. House buying is the pits in England, but once you've moved in you can put it all behind you.0

ok . Thank you! i will wait for a week .
I can understand they have loads of work but our case has been dragged for way too long and its really frustrating.0 -
Try calling the office and find out if she is on annual leave or something? If so, is somebody else picking it up or when they will be back. We had this on a previous purchase, it was dragging. Our seller threatened to pull out and that got them moving. After we completed I put in an official complaint and they gave me compensation.0

Who chose your solicitor & why (eg price)? Did it specify how promptly they would handle matters?2
