Good morning 😊
The sun is shining, but every so often it disappears, so I wonder if we will get any rain today?
I really need to get into the back garden, and give it a good clean. Brambles are currently running wild, and there are weeds galore. I sprayed out in the front garden yesterday. We had a tree in the front garden, which was felled last year, and since then, it's as if the weeds suddenly took full reign of every crack and crevice.
I have been busy in the kitchen this morning. There are chicken meatballs for dinner, and I have enough mixed bean lasagne left over. There were potatoes which needed using up as they were starting to sprout, so I have done wedges and Bombay potato cakes. I also made up bowls of both tuna and tuno pasta with sweetcorn, onions, and mayonnaise.
The glacier is coming today, to replace the double glazed window, which was collecting water between the glass. That was a palaver, but we had the warranty, so they had to get it sorted. Hopefully, I don't have to wait around too long. I'm not very patient!
Hope you all have a good day 😊10 -
Hello everyone
Sorry I've been missing...little one arrived just after 9 on Tuesday morning and left after lunch today! She was full of news about Butlins and we've had a lovely couple of days. Yesterday we went down to a nearby park and, after an ice cream from the ice cream van, had a walk on the beach and little one paddled in the sea. Well she started off paddling then lost her footing when a wave came in and ended up sitting in the North sea! Luckily we're only a few minutes on the bus home as her bottom was too wet to sit down. She had a lovely warm bath when we got in.
I introduced her to The Borrowers on DVD, her mummy used to love it, we watched the last two episodes before bed as she had to find out what would happen.
We went for some plants today and I was lucky to get £30 of perennials for just £.14.....they just needed a good drink and repotting. I put them in after DD had picked little one up and also did some dead heading. Then I went over to my friends house for a cuppa and a chat.
It's looked like rain all afternoon but it still hasn't happened so I'm going to have to do some watering now x9
