Good morning again, it's fine here but I think rain is forecast. Our garden is bone dry, , I was going to water last night but didnt. It'll have to be done today.
Dh's scan went all right, he has another on Tuesday at a different hospital, then it's just waiting for results.
Our Australian family are home and exhausted, but they've had a great time visiting family and friends in various places.
I tidied the freezer yesterday afternoon, I seem to have a lot of chicken and mince! However it's no bad thing. I want to use as much as I can day by day instead of buying more. I was thinking yesterday of experimenting with more vegetarian dishes, I've been reading recipes, and I know dh will try different meals.
I haven't read back on yesterday yet, but hope everyone is all right.
Take care folks.

Morning all and thanks for the start ScarletIt's pouring with rain outside at the moment and looks like it's going to be on and off like that all day. The garden will benefit and I've no washing to hang out so that's a bonus!Nothing special going on today except the usual housework.Have a good day all x12

Good morning
There's rain on the windows but the sun is shining now. The forecast is for dry weather today.
Mrs ND's hospital appointment went well yesterday, although she has to go back into hospital next week for another round of chemo, hopefully the last.
Another day of organising before next weeks family visit other than that nothing much planned. No idea what's for tea, will have a rummage in the freezer.
Ruby, hope your DM is feeling much better now shes home.
Have a good day all, take care.12 -
Morning all
Dry here for now but showers due this afternoon.
My new lads mum cancelled at the last minute yesterday as he was not in a good place and was very heightened she phoned me and was in tears as she is trying to cope with this alone, I told her I think she needed to start thinking about residential for him as he is a lot for one person to cope with. I will still get paid as it was so late notice, but I don’t think this job will last long term so I have started to look around again, I think she has massively understated his problems. We are meeting this morning so will see how we get on.
I popped into mum yesterday and she was glad to be home but her leg still feels bad, I made her some lunch and tidied up quickly while she was phoning the GP they were going to phone her back later in the day. I think she is going to need more help than she is getting atm so we need to try and work something out for her.
Dinner tonight for OH and I will be a jacket potato he will have chilli on his from the freezer and I will have cheese and ham, dd is working a late shift.
Scarlett glad all went well yesterday and I hope it’s not too long to wait for the results xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all - the very misty and dull early sky has morphed into pale blue with wispy clouds. The gardener made a great job of clearing out the final half of the newly exposed ground under where the thuggish inhabitants have been evicted. She also planted out the five new residents. Whilst she was doing all that I took away the mountains of cardboard and paper which had built up. I was pleased to find that the big blue communal dumpsters had just been emptied. The rest of my day passed gently apart from when I smashed a hole in a glass which was full of liquid. 😱 Today I aim to make my way up to what's called a 'plant centre' rather than a garden centre, I need at least a couple more herbaceous perennials to help fill the space.Good to hear that your DH's scan went well @Scarlet. I hope that the same can be said of @TA's lunch date.Take care all, hugs for everyone.10

Morning all! Raining! Again! Yippee! Can't complain about that at all...OH might feel differently though cycling to work on his bike [ he is kind of recovered, just taking it gently, thank you all for asking] Today more of the same, kitchen tile removal and clean up, OHs mums for tea and I may move the garden bed before the jasmine gets properly rooted in it, it's already looking happier..My freezers are going down, we've actually been eating out of them but I'm due some fish today, OH said yes to some for a delivery so has anyone got any opinions on Regal Fish? He's a terrible doorstep chatter....I put the blackberries in the freezer for future use when the cooking apples are ripe. They're so early this year usualy they're together for the most part..Scarlet, more hugs...Rosy, lovely that Lenny is the star of the show
TTB, that's a lovely looking slow cooker of mine all mine dumplings! camelot, hope the new car is all it's cracked up to be...and clean! remmie, glad your ndn is doing well. Izzy, you don't need to come and give me a hand, I need to help you eat everything you've made
Ruby, shame about your new bloke, maybe one day you'll get your old bloke back...Take care all, shout to the missing for whatever reason...

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Fingers are crossed for DH's results. No rain here unfortunately, nor is any forecast. I've just about given up on the tubs and pots at the back. The perennial stuff isn't looking too bad but the bedding is now on it's last legs. Mostly due to lack of rain but secondly due to neglect whilst I have been absent at the van.
I met my DF as planned yesterday and although our lunch wasn't up to much it was edible! We had a good long chat so all in all a pleasant afternoon. And I was lucky to get a text from the Opticians telling me my new new specs were ready so I called in for those whilst I was out. Happy with the outcome after months of squinting, zooming etc! I was hoping to get a text from B**ts telling me my meds were ready to collect but sadly didn't so that will mean a special trip down when they are.
The excitement of this morning will be cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, followed by washing the towels and mats. I would rather be off gallivanting somewhere! Have a good day folks if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. RUBY I hope your DM is now comfortably settled in her tidy home! Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning all.
Dull and drizzly here, as it was yesterday morning. I wore my raincoat walking up to help at the Larder yesterday and then, as the sun had come out later, completely forgot about it and had to go back after lunch for it! Luckily it was still hanging in the hall.
Our lunch plans were also altered yesterday as DH had to wait in for the humidifier he'd ordered and it didn't arrive until 3.30pm. It's sitting upstairs atm but am sure it will be very useful some time during the year.
I'm still not feeling great but hopefully it's only a cold. DH has gone over to do childcare and I'll follow once I've had my second shingles jab at lunchtime. Off on holiday to Sidmouth tomorrow so will be packing tonight and hope for an earlyish getaway
See you all when I get back and hope all goes well in the meantime.

Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet. We have a sunny morning in store but with cloud building in the afternoon, showers possible - again. Slightly warmer too, around 21 deg. Yesterday was actually a nice day, lots of sun and no rain.
Stage 1 of the Grand Clear Out got underway yesterday. The big cupboard has been completely emptied with some bits being binned as soon as they came out. I'm all for quick wins.Floor swept/mopped, cobwebs evicted, walls washed etc after which I was glad of a shower. While I was having a break mid-afternoon, the Fire Brigade were attending an incident at the next block of maisonettes. They were here for quite a while but didn't arrive with blue lights and sirens so hopefully it was something minor.
Only one thing on the agenda today - Stage 2 which is sort through all the rest of the cupboard stuff that's currently dotted about all over the place. I swear some of it hasn't seen the light of day for at least 15 years so I doubt it will be needed by me. I have put a system in place with crates for keep/donate and another one for tools that DS might want. I say "might" because DIY isn't really his forte. It could be a long day so I've planned an easy tea for tonight - h/m soup and a cheese & ham toastie.
@Gers - I'm guessing a plant centre is what it says on the tin - they sell just plants with none of the other stuff that garden centres have?
@TA - Glad you've finally got your new specs, fingers crossed your meds won't take too long.
@WL - Have a good time in Sidmouth.
Best wishes to all, especially our poorly ones or those caring for others. Have the best day you can and take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning everyone just got in from a cleaning job this is the one that the man is very poorly she had been up and down all night I always tell her to have a shower when I’m there then she can have one in peace last week he was as bright as a button but this week he was determined he was getting out of bed and installing a bathroom of course he’s not able to get out of bed so I put his mind at rest and told him I had called a plumber and he was coming to measure up he will forget about it soon and next week he could be bright again she said to me today I think I will go before him she is worn out . It’s lovely and bright here I think showers are forcast later .WL have a lovely time away .TAFF I’m pleased your OH is feeling a bit more human and Scarlet I hope you don’t have to wait long for your DH results. I haven’t a clue what I’m going to do with the rest of the day no doubt I will tackle something I felt shattered when I got up but I’m back in the land of the living now . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8
