Denying access to every website saying Did not connect, potential security issue. It's doing it on everything, including MSE and BBC,

I always have a problem with FF when going to Youtube. It denies me access saying 'm using an adblocker. uBlock Origin is turned off as are all FF blocking settings so I have to use Brave.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Check your Firefox secutity settings, it will sometimes change it by itself to Strict during a Firefox update.
The Strict setting may cause websites not to work as expected  it tells you so in the settings.
Change it back to standard if needed.
This is from my phone but the setting is similar on a computer:

Issues with profile-based browsers such as Firefox are almost always caused by one of two things:  The profile or an extension.  More the latter than the former.

Disable extensions (or start in Troubleshooting mode).  If problem goes away an extension is causing it.  If problem continues its a profile issue.  If you create a new profile with no extensions and the problem still occurs (but it doesn't happen in another browser) its a Firefox installation issue.

if the problem occurs on all browsers you try something else is wrong.
