Good morning again, it's a fine one here, I'm about to put some washing out.
It's also my youngest's birthday, he's 46 today. I met up with his wife in Newcastle yesterday and we wandered round the shops, didn't buy anything except a pair of earrings in M&S.
Dh has a hospital appt this morning for a brain scan, that's the main event today.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.15 -
Morning allThanks for starting us off Scarlet. Hope today goes well for your DH xHad a nice day at the V&A yesterday. Didn't realise how huge it was and couldn't get round everywhere even with lots of stops but what I did see what very interesting. The jewellery exhibition was fascinating starting from 15-16th century up to present day. Some of the items were so ornate. I was going to pop in next door to the Natural History museum to say hello to the dinosaurs but it was absolutely rammed with long queues outside. School holiday time I expect. Popped into Harrods for a nose round and obviously came out empty handed. Passed some estate agents on the way with houses with whopping £8-£13M price tags!!Saw loads of people at Victoria Station with England flags and posters who had come back from the celebrations outside Buck House tooHairdresser coming to give me a cut and colour today so lots of sitting down today resting my weary bones.Have a good day x14

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I hope all goes well for your DH. Worrying times for you both x
Another rubbish night for me. It's getting too regular again after a bit of a lull. And the more I tossed and turned the hotter I got which didn't help. Grr. It looked a bit damp outside when I got up but all fine now and no drizzle forecast for today. They say summer will be back next week which is good as I plan on a week or so at the caravan from Sunday.
All being well (but always subject to cancellation!) I am meeting DF for lunch today. I hope I can keep awake! One or two bits of jobs to do before I go out, plus a few bits and bobs to get in town.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all
Dry and bright here and no rain due which is nice, we had a few showers yesterday but mainly dry.
Mum came home from hospital yesterday and was so pleased to be home although she was shattered I took her some dinner round which she loved and then told her to get into bed as she was shattered so I hope she slept well.
I am off to meet my new lad today with his mum at the day centre he will be attending I think we are just doing a morning today and see how it goes I had an email yesterday from the behavioural team asking me to a zoom meeting next week so I think he may be a bit more complex than I first thought but we will see.
Dinner tonight will be chicken curry with rice and Nan bread. I have put a wash on this morning and will hang it out before work.
Scarlett I hope all goes well today xx
Have good days all and take care xx15 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope all goes well for your DH today. Glad you had a good day wandering yesterday.
It's dry this morning with high cloud so the bedding is on the line already, will do towels and bed t shirts once I've had a shower. Hope it stays dry as I have the little one from this morning until tomorrow afternoon. They are going island hopping on Friday for a couple of weeks so it will give her Mum and Dad time to get sorted out.
I'm going to pick up my new car this afternoon, spent a lot of yesterday emptying out mine - how can such a small car contain such a lot of rubbish!
Enjoy your trip out TA, hope you have a better sleep tonight.
Sounds like you had a good day Chrisca.
Hope you're ok Nanny.
How's your DMum Ruby?
Have a good day, take care. XX14 -
Good morning, thanks for starting us Scarlet, hope all goes well for DH.
Very cloudy outside yesterday was just the same, although we did get a shower last night, just as BD was going out for his last wee.
More sorting out to do today ready for DD and family who are arriving on Monday. I'm making numerous lists and will leave the food shopping until Friday. DD has thoughtfully scheduled an Oc**do delivery for Monday, so I need to talk to her when they get back from France tomorrow.
Mrs ND is back at the hospital today to find out what the next course of treatment will be. She is doing well atm, love having my old friend back.
Bbq pork steaks for tea, with onion rings, corn on the cob and coleslaw. Needless to say, OH will have chips instead of the corn.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all - thanks for the start off @Scarlet. Happy Birthday to your DS and I hope that all goes well for your DH today. What a lovely day @Chrisca. Perhaps another visit outside of school holidays could be arranged? Enjoy your lunch out @TA. I'm sure that your DMum will sleep well at home @Ruby, great work from you and your sister too. Happy new car @Camelot - I look forward to seeing it soon. Family coming is always a joy @Remmie.Lots and lots of low cloud here with misty dampness. There was overnight rain but who knows for today. My trip to the big city was good. Staying with friends gave me a real fillip and the orthopaedic surgeon was so lovely. He said I could have one of two problems with the 'new' hip. Either a muscle issue which can be resolved or adhering scar tissue which can't. So, not good not bad. He's sending me for another MRI. At least I haven't been dismissed again. This particular hospital is not easy to get to so the trusty satnav did well. The drive home was fairly sedate as there were a number of caravans and loggers on the road. I really don't understand why these huge lorries loaded with felled trees are going both ways.Anyway, almost no shopping done when in the big city. I was so good, the fridge has more than enough. I did indulge in a couple of fabulous cheeses from the fabulous cheese shop. I was lucky enough to spot a parking space right outside it so couldn't resist. Across the road from the fabulous cheese shop is an equally fabulous baker / cafe with the most delicious goods. Again, I indulged in the most fabulous almond croissant, I really have never had such a one before. It's good that I don't live in Glasgow any more. What treats for me.Must get ready for the gardener coming, she's going to plant the things I picked up yesterday and, no doubt, do more clearing out of dead big daisies. I hope that everyone has a productive / quiet day (you chose). Hugs to all.14

Morning all! Drizzly which is all to the good, the ground might actually get wet and I am definitely not complaining. I cleared all the stuff out of the old kitchen last night ready to take the tiles off the wall, only thing is, I can't remember what I usually use to do it, I mean, I know it's a hammer, but I've forgotten which implement goes behind the tiles...and I do need a couple more builders buckets for them. And I've put as much stuff in the car as I can ready for Firdays tip run. Just saves it hanging round the house and I'm not really going anywhere so it'll be fine. And I do have to use the blackberries in something unless I freeze them to make jam later on...or make jam now, the choices are endlessRuby, glad your mum is better and I bet she appreciates what you've all done. Gers, well kind of good news, kind of bad, fingers crossed more good than bad. camelot, I hate to tell you why it contains so much rubbish but maybe you had a tardis or something
Scarlet, worrying times, sending hugs. Chris, nice ot hear it was good, I'll add it to the list of stuff to do...Yorkslass, and also good ot hear the precitioner was less grumpy. snoozer, hope the move goes well and the house is empty soon! TTB, the soup sounds nice too, another recipe to google
Take care all...

Morning all,
Scarlet – hope all goes smoothly today for your DH, sending positive thoughts your way, and happy birthday to your DS too! Sounds like you had a lovely day out yesterday.
Chrisca – the V&A is amazing, isn’t it? I’ve only managed a fraction of it each time I’ve been, and I love the jewellery section too. Totally get avoiding the Natural History Museum during the school hols though!
TA – hope you enjoy lunch with your DF and that you get a better sleep tonight. Fingers crossed for some proper summer weather for your caravan trip next week.
Ruby – great news that your mum is home, I bet she’s so glad to be back in her own bed.
Camelot – exciting about the new car! I always find it slightly alarming how much random stuff I manage to accumulate in mine.
Remmie – sounds like you’re very organised for DD and family arriving, and how thoughtful of her to book the Ocado delivery.
Gers – that cheese shop and almond croissant sound heavenly, I’d be exactly the same if I lived near them! Glad you’ve got another MRI booked, sounds promising at least.
Taff – good luck with the tiles, I’d probably be in the same boat with forgetting what tools to use.
Izzy – wow, your freezer must be bursting! All that baking sounds delicious though, you’ve been busy.
Hugs to anyone who needs them, and hope everyone has a good day whatever you’re up to.
