Land Registry - RX3 form, section 8, help

My husband is trying to cancel a restriction on a property which had himself, mum and stepdad on. He wants sole restriction now. What does he put 'in favour of'? Just his name? Sadly his stepdad is deceased but his mum is happy to be taken off.
What will be required from his mum? A letter to confirm she is happy to be removed?
Thanks

Is the stepdad on the deeds or has he been removed already? If he's still on there the forms you will need to remove a deceased person you need a DJP form, RX3 (in favour of, I was told by the LR to leave it blank, just put the date of the restriction), and you need a ST5 form.
If you are also removing the other owner as well, you might need to contact land registry and double check the forms.1 -
Is this his mothers’s home? If it is she would be unwise to give her share away, if not she is likely to have a CGT liability on the transfer even if no money changes hands.0

Just my husband and I are on the deeds. My husband and I own the property however a restriction was put in place in 2008 with my husband, his mum and stepdad. We have completed the ST5 form already. I will ring the land registry again but they are not being overly helpful. Thanks for your help both I will be back on if I have any further questions.0

I'm sorry if we are not being very helpful but that can often arise if the guidance you are after slips into legal advice, which we cannot give.
I don't quite follow the explanation given as I wouldn't expect a joint owner, your husband, to also have a restriction naming him as well even along with both parents.
If you have rung again and got it sorted then no need to respond. However if you haven't then can you DM the title number please and I can take a look and hopefully offer you more of a steer
