The big rises were more than two years ago, prices just now are actually a bit lower than Summer 2023.  It would be pretty damning if a supplier left a customer's DD unchanged and unreviewed through the serious price rises of 2022.

A new meter could have resulted in an accurate read being used, there is also the very significant possibility of the very old meter which was replaced could have been under reporting usage, there are too many variables for us to know.
