Repai a crack in thin exterior render.

Options

Can anyone tell me what to use to stabilise this crack in the render on the front of my house .. The render is quite thin at around a few mm and not too sure what to use - in case I make it worse.

I was hoping to find something which would go off white ( or off white ) to save me painting the front of the house .

Something like a Toupret exterior filler would do the job. You'd need to open the crack up a bit to get the filler in. And you may need a primer (SBR or similar) on the edges of the old render to ensure a good bond. Matching the texture is going to be the hard part..

looks like Tyrolean, which is difficult to match. For small areas, you can dip a brush in a wet mix and flick it on. Tyrolean comes in a through colour, but is around £30 a bag. You can make it up yourself using sand/cement and adding Sandtex etc for the colour.
