Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, enjoy your trip out.
Dry this morning, will do some washing once I've had a shower.
Good to hear your DMum will be home later Ruby, she will appreciate a lovely clean and tidy house, what lovely daughters you are.
Enjoy your trip Chrisca, it's years since I was there.
I had a rubbish night too Allie. Enjoy your trip to Wales.
Lovely lunch out with colleagues yesterday and called to see DD and the little one on my way home. It's DD's birthday today.
I went to look at a new car yesterday and will go back today for a test drive. My car is tiny and the little one doesn't have much room in the back (nor do any passengers!) so I'll go for something a bit bigger. They are offering quite a good trade in price for my wee go kart so will decide once I've driven it. Some money shuffling to be done too!
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Enjoy your day out all you daytrippers. It was mizzling a bit when I got up, now brightened up but forecast to return.
Yesterday's trip to Boundary Mill with DD and youngest DGD was as tiring as I expected. My legs aren't up to all the trailing about they do so we parted company for a while, each of us looking for our own things. We met up again in M & S outlet but that was a big disappointment. The clearance was on but nothing exciting to tempt me. The bra department too was a letdown. That has shrunk since my last visit and it was the same underwired or padded styles which I don't want! I left them to their browsing and deliberating and headed for the coffee shop and treat myself to a perfect Americano and a goodie! I bumped into a lady I used to work with in there so we had a lovely chat. Meanwhile DD and DGD had spent a small fortune on bras, bikinis and sandals for their holiday.
Rant alert now!! I spent all yesterday morning glued to my phone waiting for the Pharmacist to ring for my medication review. He didn't!! I was furious as I am already out of one of my BP meds thanks to all their messing about. I was all set to blast somebody this morning about the lack of communication at their end and got up my medication online in readiness. But what do you know, the Pharmacist must have psychic powers when doing his reviews as everything was updated yesterday and made available to order without him speaking to me!! I despair of that place. Anyway I ordered all I needed and that will go direct to B**ts for dispensing. I hope they are more on the ball than the surgery.. Rant over!
Have a good day folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care all, stay safe xx

Good morning 😊
I didn’t get around to posting yesterday, what with the excitement of Sunday 🏆 with our guests, and I’ve started reading again, so the time disappeared. I started The Appeal by Janice Hallett yesterday, and finished it not too long ago. It was really good, especially the way it’s laid out. I enjoyed that. Next on the to read list is The Silent Patient, by Alex Michaelides.
Other than finishing off the book this morning, I have put a joint of beef in one slow cooker - since I didn’t cook a roast on Sunday, I’m doing it today - and a hot and spicy white bean and onion soup in the other. I haven’t prepared the vegetables, or peeled the potatoes for the roasties, yet. Plus, I still need to make the dumplings for the soup, and the Yorkshire pudding mix. I will do all that once I get back from the local pantry.
My energy levels feel rather depleted, so other than a bit of pick up and put away, and sorting the dinner, not much else is on the agenda.
Hope you all have a good day 😊10 -
Morning all and thank you @Scarlet for starting us off. The weather yesterday was really nice - quite breezy but no rain, lots of sun and feeling mild. Today is set to be more unsettled with showers on and off and not much in the way of sunshine. Cooler too, around 19 deg.
Yesterday's annual health check went OK, follow up appointment made for blood/urine results. The nurse was running on time and much more affable than on previous visits so it was pleasant enough. DS and his partner gave me a lift there and back and, while I was in the surgery, picked up a few bits and pieces for me that I couldn't get on last week's grocery delivery. They managed to get an emergency call-out visit on Sunday for their leaking boiler but it couldn't be repaired so a new one is being delivered and installed today - hopefully.
It's a quiet day for me today but there's always some pottering jobs to keep me out of mischief.Tea tonight will be a jacket potato topped with corned beef hash and some veg on the side.
Enjoy the V&A @Chrisca and likewise @Scarlet on your visit to Newcastle.
@AA - Have a good visit to Wales.
@Ruby - Glad to hear your DM is doing much better and is being discharged home today. She'll appreciate all the hard work you and your sister have done.
@WL - Hope you're feeling a bit better today.
@-taff - You were right about the Rolos!
@TA - So sorry your M&S outing was such a disappointment. It's hard finding "ordinary" bras these days - they must think we all enjoy being trussed up like chickens! As for the performance over your meds review, rant away all you like! Words fail me.
Safe journeys for our travellers, have a good day and take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Quickie! Within 1 hour of ordering my meds I got a text from B**ts to say my prescription had been received (electronically) and they would send another text when ready to collect. At least somebody seems to be doing their job efficiently after the ongoing debacle with the Surgery. x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9

I've given up on bras most days. Using camisoles instead.3
