Forgot to pay drop off fee at Manchester Airport

Options
I forgot to pay the £5 drop off fee when dropping friends off at Manchester Airport a week ago. Just gone on website now and won’t let me select the date to pay. I know it had to be paid in 48 hours but genuine mistake.
not had invoice yet but expecting one, should I pay the £60 or try challenging it? Seems an outrageous amount for a 2min stop when I genuinely forgot.
Don’t want to engage APOCA to ask for leniency as they’ll likely just say pay up.

Do not identify who could have been driving, never use terms like I did this or that or He, she mother, uncle aunt sister and so on
Theres a simple reply somewhere on here that tells APCOA to go forth and multiply regarding the charge

Please use the usual appeal as shown in the Gatwick and Heathrow Airport drop off group thread. No link!
