Shell Recharge issues

A few years ago I bought an EV and a Shell Recharge New Motion home charger unit came as part of the deal.
For a number of reasons I sold that EV, so didn't use the charger. I now have another EV, but cannot set up scheduled charging because Shell EV say they cannot recognise the serial number of the charger. I've tried to contact them about this, but they do not respond to emails, or phone. They do not enter into any discussion about the issue.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

What EV do you now own and who is your electricity provider.

If you can’t get the charge point to set a schedule you should be able to do so on the EV possible set up,a smart charge through your supplier if the car is compatible.

Thank you for replying to my question.  The issue isn't really with the car (a Jaguar iPace). Rather it is with registering the charger unit with Shell Recharge. Despite it having been fitted by NewMotion, the company they acquired a few tears ago, their system doesn't recognise the units serial number. Hence we can charge a car by just plugging it in, but cannot set a schedule for it to charge at set times when electricity is cheaper,  e g in the middle of the night.
Octopus, our electricity supplier,  is also unable to recognise the serial number. I'm wondering whether anyone else has experienced this issue and what they did about it.
Shell Recharge do not have a very responsive customer service system for these units, presumably because they do not get any revenue from them.

Shell Recharge app is for charging at Shell DC chargers. NOT a home A/C charger.

New Motion is not a Octopus approved charger. So they will not recognise the charger. serial number. 

Which Octopus tariff are you on?

Is I=Pace linked to Octopus to charge?

Neither the car or charge point are compatible with Octopus IG, but you can set to set a schedule in the iPace to charge at what ever times you need. As long as the charge point works in dumb mode there should be no problem controlling the charging from the car rather than the charge point.
