Hi, I have received a response from DCA enquiries and it states the following
"We can confirm that a DCA was in place between us and the credit broker relating to your finance agreement"
"As there was a DCA in place, we have forwarded your email to our Commissions department to log your complaint. You will receive a formal acknowledgement letter in the post, and we will begin to investigate the commission arrangement that was in place."
Do I need to do anything further, or do I just wait?
Thanks in advance0 -
Nothing, this case is about hidden commission not DCA. The FCA said they'll issue an update on DCA within 6 weeks of this ruling, which hopefully will be overturned in any sane worldDukeyboy2024 said:Hi, I have received a response from DCA enquiries and it states the following

Thanks in advanceSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Wait, in 6 weeks the FCA will make an announcement of what their course of action is going to be. Likely some form of redress programme to start next year unless the Supreme Court throws the whole lot out.Dukeyboy2024 said:Hi, I have received a response from DCA enquiries and it states the following

Wait until the FCA come up with a report on DCA
If your question is about the hidden commission, write to the lender and ask to register a complaint but again it'll be with the FCA for a bitSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

Here is the latest from the FCA.
If you had a DCA, lenders have until 30 January 2026 to send you a final response to your complaint.
