How did you pay for it?

Just to be clear, the delivered sofa doesn't match the colour that was stated in an order confirmation email?

If so, then it's hard to see how they can blame the customer for this - what exactly have they said?

    That is a little confusing.

Did you order a (blue) sofa and received a (green) sofa?

Did you order a (beige) sofa but when it was delivered it looks a different shade (brown) or (cream)?

Did you go to the shop, spoke about a (red) sofa, the Store Assistant sent you a link to order at home / online, but the link was created for a (grey) sofa.  You then completed the order without double checking the colour, so actually ordered a (grey) sofa and received a (grey) sofa?
In this last scenario, did the Store Assistant actually enter a colour, or simply link the design / size and the colour was just the default colour (top entry on the list)?

The consumer rights and next steps will vary quite a lot between the above scenarios.

You need to go back and check your paperwork.

We bought a sofa recently, and before paying, the sales person ran through EVERY detail. Colour, model, size, mechanism etc... and we had to sign to say we had agreed.

Are you saying you went into a store, but the assistant logged into your own Sofology account and ordered online for you??
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
