Club Lloyds Platinum Account query

HI Gang,
I am already a 'normal' Club Lloyds account holder, and I have my fee reimbursed every month.
I am thinking of moving up to a Platinum account for £22.50 a month.
What's driving my thought is that the fee to renew my AA membership (for myself and my wife) has gone up to £500 a year (from £300). On the face of it, I can save money by cancelling my membership and migrating to a new Club Lloyds account, plus I can get travel insurance also.
It feels too good to be true...are there any gotchas that I am missing?
cheers

Have you tried getting an AA quote as a new customer. What level of cover do you have and is it like for like with Lloyds.
Have to say, paying £300 for breakdown cover is insane.

Have a good look at the T&Cs of the travel insurance, too. I don’t know about the Lloyds one but other packaged ones have relatively low amounts of cover. They also have age and activity restrictions. So depending on your travel plans, you might need another travel policy.1

Might be worth looking at a Nationwide Flexplus account. We pay £18/month and get full AA cover (UK and EU) for my wife and I, global travel insurance and mobile insurance for all the family. They regularly give member payouts, I think my wife and I both got the £100 and the £50 pay outs this year (total of £300), so effectively free banking with perks."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0

Since the change in provider if you have a pre existing condition old provider no additional charge new provider £60 supplement
Also £50 excess
Lloyds £75 excess per adult may apply
Co-op no excess
