Parkmaven Parking Charge - Holiday Inn Exeter

Good morning,
My friend has recently received this letter from Parkmaven regarding an overstay at a Holiday Inn, in Exeter.
Front of Letter - hXXps://ibb.co/pC6bwKH
Back of Letter - hXXps://ibb.co/wNxLJ3nJ
Proof of Payment - hXXps://ibb.co/wZPgMz43
Now the charge there for 24h parking, is £16.00 - This was paid to 'Your Parking Space'
As you can see from the arrival and departure times, the stay was just under 21 hours.
Payment proof is available via banking app as you can see in the third URL, however email confirmation isn't.
I checked the newbies thread but couldn't see a recent one for either Holiday Inn or Parkmaven - Apologies if missed.
Should the driver email the Hotel and Your Parking Space as a start?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes do that at as a first course of action and instruct them to get ParkMaven to cancel

If you go into the Parking Space app you should be able to find more details in past sessions.
Not unheard of the clowns at Maven and the app not talking to each other.
Get a screenshot from the app and tell Maven you don't know what they're on about and that you paid for 24 hours - see session in app.
Don't appeal, just tell them through their online contact portal.4 -
Hi guys,
Thanks for the responses, contacted the hotel & they’ve told me it’s sorted and the charge will be cancelled. It is sneaky there though, you go to pay & only once you’ve paid does it have an option at the bottom offering you the option to add an email address to get a receipt.4 -
