Following on from this VERY old thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3219862/status-remote-control-socket-problem/p2 I have found that the imprinted pictogram inside my Status remote control socket zappers is completely wrong!
In the hope this might be found by some future alien (or human!) who is encountering problems, try putting the batteries (LR44) in the other way round.
The device I bought from Dunelm has the imprinted pictogram (inside the battery compartment) showing them one way - but by trial and error I found they should be the other way around!
