Migration from ESA to UC

Options
I am the appointee for my sons (2) benefits

I have received a migration letter for my eldest son and went online to complete it yesterday.

Both sons live at home and it asks for details of any brothers/sisters/relations, they live with (not sure why).

Wondering if I am also supposed to give our (parents) details in this section also?

Also as their appointees their benefits are currently paid into my account, will this continue?

I completed this for my son two weeks ago, I am his appointee and he lives at home with me, is single and has no housing costs. I put that there are no people living with him because he is single for benefit purposes.

I think they ask about brothers and sisters because it’s relevant for housing costs if you live in social housing as to how many bedrooms are eligible for housing costs.

But he will not be eligible for UC rent element on his claim if he lives with his parents unless he is a joint tenant with them?

They ask  questions like that anyway.
The answers may be needed or may not.
That way they have the info so shouldn't need to ask later.

As both sons are living at home, they won't be claiming housing costs.
Just seemed a really odd question, sure there was nothing like it when I filled in their claims for ESA.

Uc is completely different to an ESA claim as it includes help with housing ( if eligible) so they need to get a much fuller picture of the claimants situation. ESA just deals with health so would it would be of no concern who the applicant lived with. Previously before Uc existed someone would have claimed housing benefit instead if they needed help with rent so  they would have been asked who they lived with. As UC is six different benefits rolled into one they have to ask for much more detailed information to establish which parts of UC the applicant is eligible to claim.
