Zable - Can't stop repayments?

Does anyone else here use Zable?
I've been struggling to pay off my debts and last month made the difficult decision to let everything default because I just can't afford to pay anything at the moment. I cancelled all my direct debits but my Zable card, which is MOBILE APP only, won't let me delete/stop payments.
Payments are being taken using my Debit Card details and the app won't let me delete those details unless I add new debit card details first, and my bank offers no option to stop the payments as they're being processed as just a regular card payment as if I was shopping online.
Anyone know how I can stop Zable taking payments?

If the repayments are being made via debit card rather than direct debit then they'll be set up as a Continuous Payment Authority, which aren't typically manageable via apps or online banking.
However, your bank is obliged to stop it if that's what you direct them to do (via other channels, e.g. phone or secure message):

I managed to get a block on them taking payments from my debit card, however, when I applied for the block, they were taking payments under the name "Zable CD" which is what I put a block on, and yet today they've managed to take a payment, this time under the name "Zable Cards" is that normal? - could they have changed the name of the transaction in order to bypass my block. You need to speak to them, dealt with Zable and they are quite a good company to speak to. They can put you on a reduced payment plan if needed - they did with me for a while.0

You really need to speak to Zable.Life in the slow lane0

The block will be on the merchant ID number not the name. Many companies have multiple ID numbers for different parts of the business etc. Just ask your bank to block this one tooMaxrpg said:

Yep & the consumer group Which, has somewhere around 30... So putting a block on any of their payments is next to impossible.MyRealNameToo said:

Would have thought that was a fairly small number compared to a multi-site retailer like Tescos. Though the question will be on how many of those are setup for CPA as from vague memory not all are automatically.born_again said:

For some reason Which have a separate description for their products (no way to work out which is which) on the CPA system. Which given what they supposed to promote, they make it very hard to stop a CPA...Life in the slow lane0 -
I've got a Zable card as a back up card (have 0% interest at the time) and they like to try and take the full amount each month.
I added a Monzo account, that I add a small amount of cash to for bits and bobs, and removed my main bank so that they can't take, pay day loan style, a few hundred or whatever each month in one go.

Just be aware that if they get declined the funds. They will place a unpaid marker on the account , which will effect your credit history.stewartwilliams said:I've got a Zable card as a back up card (have 0% interest at the time) and they like to try and take the full amount each month.
