Morning all, not raining but dull again but it did brightenup in the afternoon so I put some washing out and got it all dried. There is a bit more to do so I'll see how the weather goes. There's someone who does a report on the localised weather in Gtr.Mc/r and it seems very accurate most of the time, even tells you when it's good to put washing out to dry.Tea will be a mixed offering I think as we had a takeaway from a local Italian, & DH has quite a bit left he wants to finish today. The fridge is looking a bit bare - I got my order quite early last week and lots of the fresh stuff has gone.Peony hope you're better. I restarted crochet a while back but it's dropped off again since the weather has been good.TA, how lovely for you. to have DGD's company last night.TTB, thanks for posting the K.O time, I didn't realise it was early! I t hink you're right about people not having pride in their surroundings much anymore. To be fair it's usually ok round here, and a local group hang up bags for people to put litter in now that get collected, but some of the roads into town are full of litter, and the quieter spots seem to get cars coming to dumpRight, better get LittleLenny out, he's full of beans this morning. Enjoy your Sunday:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11

Morning everyone
I haven't read back yet so I hope everyone is ok.
I had a lovely time in Belfast and the Titanic museum was amazing - I spent most of Wednesday there.....reading every little sign, as I do!
On Thursday I went on a bus trip along the coast to the Giants Causeway which was also an excellent day, it was somewhere I've always wanted to see.
I got home on Friday night after a ridiculously short flight, just up and down!
Washing all done and dried yesterday, just sitting waiting to be ironed now.
DD and little one are still at Butlins, it's their last day today...they've had a great time.
I painted little one's bedroom last weekend, so spent some of yesterday moving furniture around and putting it back together. A bookcase has gone up there and I got 2 new mattresses delivered yesterday, one for each of us so I'll get her bed made back up and the curtains up. Today I've got flower fairy wall stickers being delivered so I'll enjoy putting them up.
I've done too much walking so my knee is really painful again, I'm hoping to get a doctor's appointment this week, just to discuss my long covid and tell them about the pain in my hands and feet, which is more or less constant now and very frustrating.
Right I'd best move as mam is going to church this morning, so I'll go down to sit with dad, no doubt he'll have lots of little jobs for me to do.
Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning All
Raining this morning with the threat of thunder storms later. I don't have any washing to do today, will probably do some tomorrow.
Glad you had a good time dp1, bet you're looking forward to seeing the little one.
I'll do a bit of shopping this morning once I get going - I kept dozing this morning so a later start. I will also have to go and check the courgettes at allotment 2.
Hope everyone is well and you have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone it’s looking a bit dull today not much happening here got a nice bag of blackberries while out walking the dogs yesterday I’ve never known them be so early . DP1 your trip away sounds lovely and it’s nice to hear little one has had a good time at Butlins without any dramas it will have done both her and her mum the world of good I’m sure she will have some tales to tell when she gets home. Hubby is out golfing all day I’m going to cook a chicken later it was one I won yesterday believe it or not I save for Xmas at the local butcher and every time you pay in they give you a raffle ticket I went in yesterday and I had won never been known for me to win anything . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning all, thanks @Gers for the start. Yesterday's weather was much better than forecast with sun for the best part of the day, very pleasant. Today not so much - it's damp under foot outside so it must have rained overnight and we're in for a cloudy day with showers, cooler too. I'm sure this wet weather is turning my house into a bug hotel - as well as the two fat spiders evicted last week, I found a (dead) earwig in the middle of the hall floor last night and this morning there was a ladybird on my pillow!
Gently released out of the window.
I was really tired yesterday so didn't do much at all, must try harder today. DS will be here soon and I'm hoping he doesn't bring his chess set with him - apparently he's going to teach me how to play - I don't think my brain is up for it today. Lots of sport on TV for those who enjoy it but I'm sure I can avoid it! I have a parcel to take round to NDN and a birthday card to write out for DD. We haven't spoken since the beginning of the year (long story) so I'm not sure if it will be welcome or not. We'll see. Tea tonight is chicken pie, potatoes and veg.
@peony - Hope you're feeling a bit better today.
@dp1 - Glad you had a lovely time in Ireland. You'll be looking forward to seeing LO and no doubt hearing all about it too.
Enjoy your Sunday whatever you're doing, hugs where needed or wanted, take care all. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12 -
Morning all
Dry here for now and much cooler it’s currently 20 deg which is lovely. Washing is to go out after this.
We went and saw the larder cupboard yesterday and bought it 😃 it’s a lovely double larder cupboard in what looks like a navy blue but is called charcoal it has spice racks in both doors and lots of shelves and storage and a wine rack, it’s being delivered next Saturday and I can’t wait to get it and start filling it with things, I ordered some spice jars ( I currently have them in those Kilmer bags) so I will keep those and top the jars up for everyday use.
My sister and I went up to mums yesterday and sorted through her freezer and chucked some bits with freezer burn, we also emptied all of her drawers in the bedroom and re organised them, my mum is one of the most chaotic people I know so I don’t suppose it will stay tidy but I will try and keep on top of it, my sister and I are the complete opposite and very organised and tidy so we seemed to have missed that trait thank goodness 😂
Bbq for dinner we have some minty lamb chops and some pork chops I have got some big mushrooms so will fill them with cream cheese and cook them on the bbq and do some new potatoes.
I still have some plants to put in so will do that this afternoon.
I think my sister is going to see mum so I will go tomorrow if she is not discharged.
I am not really a fan of football but I do hope we win 🤞
Have good days all and take care xx
