Morning, thanks Gers.
It's a bit gloomy here, don't know if rain is forecast.
I'll pop back later to see what everyone is doing today.15 -
Morning everyone and thank you starting us off Gers.
It's warm but dull here atm. I am hoping to dry my washing outside.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.14 -
Morning allCloudy out there this morning. Not expecting any sun todaySupermarket delivery later and not much else going on today after that. DS will pop in to pick up his part of the supermarket shop later but he won't be staying for dinner and will go straight home as he's an F1 fan and it starts at 2pm today.Hope everyone has a good day x14

Good morning 😊

England v Spain in the Euro cup final this afternoon. We have guests coming over, and would usually get a take-out, but instead I am going to prepare different foods and nibbles, using items in stock. We don’t drink alcohol, so none of that is needed.
We had light rain on and off yesterday, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the jazz event we went to. It was very good.
Today, I plan on getting chores finished, so I can spend time in the kitchen, ready for five o’clock kick-off ⚽️
Hope you all have a good day 😊13 -
Morning all.
Not been here for a while as my laptop had to go away for repair. To be honest I probably use it far too much so it's good not to have it so available! Anyway, just need to sort out a few forgotten passwords and then I'll be up and running again.
I currently have washing finishing off and another load to start so will be busy ironing tomorrow. We go away on Friday for Sidmouth Folk Festival so DH is under strict orders not to give me any last minute laundry!
Today I'll be watching the cricket and then we need to have an early lunch as I'm out to a new music session that's trying to get established in Tring. DH is going over to DD's to watch the football with her and the family but I'm not that bothered. DS and his wife started house hunting yesterday so I'm waiting for him to tell me if they found anything they like.
Happy Sunday everyone.13 -
Good morning
The sun was shining when I got up, but has gone into hiding now. A cloudy day is forecast, top temperature of 20 degrees.
OH was gifted a small portable generator yesterday by a neighbour who knows he loves tinkering with things to get them going. Apparently it hasn't been run for 4 years, so a complete overhaul is needed. That will keep him busy until I believe theres a football match going on. Oh and there's also F1, so maybe not much tinkering today.
As for me, I think I'll do a roast, theres lamb in the freezer from Easter, or some chicken legs in the fridge. That's about my day, sloth Sunday again.
Have a good day all, take care.14 -
Hi all
Well my hairdresser was definitely scissor happy yesterday but it will be a little longer until the next cut due to holidays, and it grows very quickly so no huge issue.Don’t feel like I was very productive though I did do some crafts, cut a hedge and sort dinner so not too bad.Today will likely be much the same with some cleaning (boo) added into the mix. Indonesian meal for dinner in our quest to try different countries meals.have a good Sunday

The rain arrived last night and hasn't stopped since. The sky is grey'ish white which adds to the feeling of winter. My bravery paid off yesterday as washing dried really well outside. No sun, plenty of wind and almost warm. The tin cloth jacket dried too, happy days again!I only went out once briefly, took away food waste to the tip. Not that there's a proper food waste section, it has to go into the landfill thing which really annoys me. No shopping needed or done.Today I will be avoiding the match, I've never been interested in football despite my beloved late Dad taking me to Ibrox as often as he could - hence the name 'Gers'. Much as he loved it I was never one to take pleasure from it. Mind you, he now has a brick in the wall of the stadium and another at Royal Hospital Chelsea - he almost went down to become a Chelsea Pensioner before deciding that life in London wasn't for him.Welcome back @WL - you popped into my mind yesterday afternoon! An Indonesian meal sounds yummy @AA, as does @Remmie's roast lamb. The nibbles from @TTB's is also good. More sport @Chrisca! @Iris, I hope that you manage to get your washing dry outside.Hugs to all, especially the poorlies and those who are sad.13

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope the geese weren't shouting too loudly this morning. I got up to light drizzle which hadn't been forecast but it didn't last long unfortunately as our empty reservois do need it desperately.
Supermarket Sweep with DS this morning and then the excitement of THE football match later. Please no penalties this time my nerves can't take it.
I had a surprise guest for tea yesterday! Middle DGD had been working all day in the tea room and got home to find herself locked out as she had forgotten her key! DD was working a long shift, her DP golfing and youngest at her Dads. So grandma to the rescue. I have my uses! She's been doing lots of extra shifts over the school hols and the owner keeps slipping her extra bonuses as she says she is the best young worker she's had! She says the museum has had loads of visitors over the hols, treating themselves in the tea room afterwards.
No hedge trim has happened yet but I know DS works long hours so I am not hassling him. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all,
Lovely to read all your news. I was ill yesterday, but fingers crossed I seem to be ok today, hopefully, I will get out for a walk around the local lake as it was Monday that I last left the house.
Not much happening today, I expect the golf will be on TV, I need to cook up the mince in the fridge so it will be an easy mince and rice dinner, plus I will continue with my crochet blanket using up the scrap wool.
Take care all.
