Getting an electricity supplier to deal with solar panel power

DodgerSM said:Thanks again for the comments. Let me be clear, I am not commiting an offence per se, the system only reverses the meter when it exports into the grid and works normally otherwise. If it should not do this then something was wrong with the installation. I do have an MCS certificate, and can see where an application was made for the DNO, but cannot find the resultant confirmation letter. I can see where the system and battery were validated with EVPS. Based on the feedback here I will contact the installers and see what they have to say in their defence, and work out how best to proceed with Outfox the market.Without the DNO letter you won’t be able to get a second NPAM which is required to be paid to export your surplus electricity. This should not be a problem as I had this issue when I moved into my current home, I contacted my DNO and they sent me a form to fill in and they sorted it within a couple of days.0

Thanks again. The readings have been provided by myself. I will chase up the DNO letter today, and I have put in a request for a smart meter with OFTM.0

Payments for exporting are lower than payments for usage, which could be another problem.0

Thanks for that. I have had a look a the best export rates, and plan to take that into account.1
