Flannels Gift Card Cloning

My Son was gifted £400 Flannels gift card as part of a leaving gift. When he went to use it showed that £378.95 had been used, with only £21.05 remaining. I contacted Flannels today (via online chat) and they advised the card had been used 3 time in their White City, London store, with a physical gift card. All transactions, were at exactly the same time, at 3 different till points, which suggests 3 cloned cards. They advised there was nothing further they could do as a gift card is treated like cash. So the only one out of pocket is my Son. To me this suggests security breach, or internal staffing, but I am keen to know if anyone can suggest how I move forward with this as I am not letting it go. I have reported to Police.

Who ever bought the card would need to take it forward with where they bought the card.Life in the slow lane0

Almost certainly pointless, it's virtually certain the police will do precisely nothing.Kittyfamingo said:I have reported to Police.2 -

Your son isn't out of pocket, the purchaser of the card is. They're the one who needs to take it up with the retailer of the gift card.0
