Morning all
Dry and bright here but not as warm as yesterday when it was too hot at times 🥵 I have a towel wash on the go and will hang it out once it’s finished.
I went to see mum yesterday and she was looking much better, a Dr had seen her in the morning and said she needs to stay another few days and have more IV AB and then another Dr came later and was quite short with her and told her that she had to go home as they needed the bed. When I got there I told the nurse that she could not come home as both my sister and I were working which was a white lie, but if she needs more AB then she should stay in for a few more days !BBQ for dinner tonight dd is working late shift so just OH and I here for dinner I will make up some salads this morning and prep some potatoes.
I popped into Cotswold furniture outlet after the hospital yesterday and saw a most beautiful larder cupboard in a deep navy blue I have been after one for ages and this one was reduced by over £1000 as it had a few scratches (which you could barely see) and they sell the pens for touching up the paintwork. OH and I are going back today to have another look later this morning and see what he thinks.
I have some plants to put in later and I will have a tidy of the garden.
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Afternoon All
The little one has gone home, housework done and most of the washing dried. I was just tidying up in the garden but rain has now stopped play!
Well done on sticking to your guns Ruby, hope your DMum now makes a speedy recovery. That larder cupboard sounds lovely.
Glad you enjoyed your afternoon out Izzy.
How was Belfast dp1? I really enjoyed it when I was there a couple of years ago.
Pleased to hear you're feeling a bit brighter Mehefin.
We had a lovely day at the beach, lots of sandcastles, a picnic and a ride on the ferry. The highlight for both me and the little one was seeing dolphins on the way there. At least two of them giving us a fantastic show. There's a little charity shop on the island that we visited and I got DGD a Fisher Price castle with all the figures - she's delighted and it only cost £5. It's had a good scrub and has gone home with her, she played with it for hours.
I'm going to have a relaxing afternoon now and catch up with some TV.
Hope you're all having a good weekend. Take care. XX
