I just bought a second car for the first time so now we have two cars and I want to insure the latest one.
Am I correct that I should submit zero years no claims bonus when I go to Go Compare for quotes? i.e. is it correct that my NCB years on my first car don't count for a second car.

That is correct.

It is zero but they usually ask how many years you have for your other car. I have done this a couple of times when buying and insuring cars for my offspring to learn to drive. for both I declared zero NCB but with all the other details and having other cars the premiums were very reasonable - less than my main car.
You say "we have 2 cars" - can other half insure one?1 -

To build up their own no claims. It's usually worth having a policy in each name2
