PCN - E&W v NI
I know that for car parks in NI, private companies like Horizon and Smart cannot automatically pursue the keeper of a vehicle for unpaid parking charges in the same way they can in England and Wales using 9(2)(f) of sch4 of PoFA 2012, and so they do not "chase" PCNs here in NI in the (aggressive) way that they do in E&W.
My question is whether they can rely on PoFA for parking "offences" COMMITTED in E&W by a driver normally RESIDENT in NI whilst on holiday in E&W.
PCN issued 17/7/25. date of breach 7/7/25. location Travelodge Wrexham. reason Failure to pay for full duration of stay. £51 now, £85 later.

If they are then the PPC won't pursue it in court. Ignore the threatograms.Castle said:Is the RK resident in Northern Ireland?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You can safely ignore all the nonsense letters that will arrive, threatening all sorts of things which are impossible against those of us who live in NI or SCO.2
