As the title suggests really.
About to undertake a Reno project on a house we're in the midst of purchasing...
Some big and spenny things underway.

Does anyone know of any credit cards that may give back for using them?
Thanks in advance!

As per the previous comment, there are plenty of cards that give rewards. It's often more a case of choosing one that's actually of value to you - there's no point collecting air miles if you never fly anywhere, for instance. The usual fly in the ointment with renovation projects and the like, is whether you can actually use a credit card to pay for things. If you buy a cooker and a washing machine from a shop, then you can use your credit card to pay for it. But very often, tradesmen won't accept credit cards - and if building/plumbing/electric work and the like represents a large portion of the overall cost, you may not be able to collect as many credit card rewards as you hope.Sure, you can shop around for a builder who does accept cards - but really it's more important to get a competent builder who you trust, rather than worrying about the payment method.1

You could look too for cards that do 0% money transfers that you can repay over 24 months. So effectively a inexpensive loan that gives you the money to pay the trades people.
Alternative - some major DIY stores offer "creation finance" for big projects like kitchens and bathrooms. We got a new kitchen refit at 0% for 3 years with a limit of £25k. The kitchen project itself was only just more than half that so lots of room to buy other stuff at any point in the 3 years. I don't know whether this sort of deal is offered with them doing the design project but might be worth looking in to. I hate dealing with creation finance as their online accounting is dismal but I'm willing to suffer a bit to get something major done in a financially efficient way.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Could also get a 0% purchase card and put it on that and just pay the minimum each month
This will lead to an effective cashback much higher than an ordinary cashback card you put the money in a savings account0 -
