Which spyware to get rid of

I keep reading that it's best to have only one spyware programme.
Which one of these should I get rid of? SPYBOT-search and destroy
SPYWARE BLASTER
or, are they part of the same programme?

You can have as many Anti spyware programs as you like.
Its Anti virus programs that you should only have one of along with a firewall.
Spybot S&D is not the same as spywareblaster. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I have been trying to speed up my computer lately and after doing a scan with Ad-Aware SE everything seemed slower. Last night MSE was awful to use....so...slow. Tonight I could not get connected so I did a system restore and now everything is fine. I have McAfee Firewall and will now look to see if I have more than one virus programme.0

As Penrhyn says, you should have only one anti-virus and one firewall installed.
However, if a website is "running slow", it is quite likely that the problem is at the website server end, or is caused by a problem with the Internet, or with the link to your ISP.
It is possible that it is caused by a problem in your PC, but it's also true that running a web browser is a ~very~ undemanding task for anything but a really ancient PC.
I often get painfully slow response from MSE, but great response times from almost every other website I visit! It's almost certainly because MSE is a very popular site that gets ~loads~ of traffic.0 -
