Morning all! OHs mum given a lift back and allotment visit went off without incident [ I got given a courgette camelot, only because mine aren't producing yet] and car booked in for an MOT/Service next month. Today I was thinking of ripping the dado rails off and the skirting boards, somehow I will have to move the tiles. Discovered the next door neighbour has had a stroke, she recently had a triple bypass, so I will get her some flowers later on as I also have to go and get some cat treats. Is anyone else kind of getting anxious about appointment these days? I have several coming up and I worry about non routine ones, not really worry, but it's kind of at the back of my mind and vague fears about remembering/attending/being ready/getting there kind of just swirl about. I was just wondering if it's a feature of getting older or just meAllie, well done on acquiring freebies! Izzy, that's nice of them, maybe you should have worn a gown, remember the woman who used ot do it fetching her bins? And wow, how much cooking? I do that too though, take something out of the freezer, cook it, put some back in.And you are making me hungey too. ..camelot, have a nice time rock pooling, more important than hair any day
Ruby, glad your mum is better, sometimes it's difficult to balance getting them home with staying where they are for better care. Good to hear your new young man is working out. Has there been any news about Rob? I don't know why I'm asking really, I know you'd say if there was...Gers, that did make me smile although it probably didn't make anyone smile in the queues. I've just seen your reply, thank you for that, and it does sound better than our usual too. Rosy, good hearing Lenny is settling in. And how nice you are updating them. I bet they're grateful. Mehefin, fingers crossed for inocuous results...Take care all, have a good day if you can.

Morning allCloudy and cooler today.Hope your mum is feeling better after more anti-b's RubyGlad you're feeling a bit calmer MehefinJust finished housework downstairs and went upstairs to wash my hair while the floor dried.I put my engagement and eternity ring in for re-sizing last week and just had a call to say they were ready to collect. My knuckles are getting bigger due to arthritis and I couldn't fit them over any more. Wedding ring was done a couple of years ago and that still fits. I hardly wear them now I'm not at work and don't bother if I'm jut going to the shops.Have a good day all x9

Morning all and thanks @Scarlet for the start. The weather wasn't too bad yesterday although it did spoil itself around teatime when we had light but persistent drizzle for about two hours. Today it should be dry with a gentle breeze and - you've guessed it - a chance of showers.
Temperatures still hovering in the low 20s.
One of yesterday's admin jobs completed, no luck with the other one so I'll try again today. I also decided to bring forward next week's grocery delivery to tomorrow and spent some time compiling a list of "needs". I now have a choice of doing tomorrow's admin today or leaving it until Saturday. Such exciting choices!Tea tonight will be a use-up of fridge bits - gammon, broad beans, a couple of stuffing balls and the last of the baby potatoes.
@Izzy - Enjoy your coffee and scone today, it's a nice gesture for the volunteers.
@AA - Glad to hear the wasp's nest treatment has worked.
@TA - Enjoy your lunch date, happy new specs too.
@camelot - Have a good day out at Millport, little one will enjoy it.
@Gers - Good bit of recycling with the rug - it's always a nice feeling when something can be passed on to someone else to use.
@Ruby - Fingers crossed your new medication doesn't cause any problems and glad to hear your DM seems to be making progress on the new ABs. Have a good day out with your new lad and his mum.
@TTB - I know what you mean about the new social club perhaps being a bit awkward but I hope you'll find it suits you.
@mehefin - Glad to hear you're feeling a bit more chipper today. We're all allowed a wobble from time to time.
@-taff - It's not just you, I hate appointments especially if I'm not in the right head space!
@Chrisca - A heartfelt plea from me - please don't let your re-sized engagement and eternity rings languish away in a box!
Right, time for another cuppa and then I'll decide what job to do first. Take care all and hopefully enjoy whatever the day brings. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
@YorksLass Don't worry now I know I'll be able to get them off at the end of the day I will be wearing them more often now6
