Hi Ya,

I have been using Epson ready print but now decided to return to the people who I can trust for compatible ink (Stinky Ink)

Should I totally delete all Epson software on my PC and reset my printer also because Epson were basically controlling my printer with ready print as they could stop my printer from working or that’s how I feel and they may be software that could prevent my Stink ink from working?

The printer is an Epson XP4205 ( 2024 model)

Thanks

Seems a bit overkill when you just click a button a website:

"You will still be able to use your plan until the end of the current billing cycle and unless you print more pages than your monthly allowance no further payments will be taken.

If you have a ReadyPrint Flex plan that uses subscription ink cartridges these will continue to work until the end of the current billing cycle, they then need to be replaced with non-subscription ink cartridges/retail cartridges."

Yes I've cancelled the plan but concerned that they maybe software installed that make the Ready print work. Epson say its the chip on the "ready print" cartridges that controls the plan when i did an online chat last week but I just want to be safe.
    Thanks

    Safe from what exactly?
I don't see what the issue is here.  You opted in, the printer tells Epson how much ink you have on occasion, it then decides at some point down the line you will need new ink and you get sent some.  All you're doing by cancelling is opting out from the "send me ink" part of this arrangement and the system sends a message to say can't use those cartridges anymore.
