Good morning Gers, thanks for starting.
Looks to be an ok morning, bright, might turn out warm.
We were out last night for a meal with friends at a local restaurant. We had a really good night, it was a lovely change and brightened us up.
No plans made for today, we may go out on the bus somewhere. If we don't go out there's the garden to tidy a bit. I roughly tidied it after dh finished cutting the hedge, but it could do with a bit more.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.17 -
Morning,
I haven’t looked back to see when I last posted but it has been a while. I have been reading along, but haven’t had the energy levels to post, due to fibromyalgia and fatigue isssues.
i am trying to get back to a semblance of normality so will try and post daily.
It has been quiet here, I need to complete tidying up all my late dad’s paperwork going back decades …. It is currently in plastic boxes at the end of the bed so it will be nice to get the bedroom back to being a peaceful haven rather than a dumping ground. For the last few months I keep ignoring it, but it is beginning to niggle at me now.
OS wise, I am trying to use up food items that are in the cupboard before buying more, also I need to run down the freezer as it needs defrosting.Plus I am using up all my scrap wool to make a crochet blanket for the bedroom and sitting room. I am determined not to buy any new wool!Plans for today is to check the dates of food in fridge and menu plan.
Take care all.

Morning All
Bright this morning but seems to be clouding over quite quickly. As long as it's dry it's ok.
Glad you enjoyed your night out Scarlet - good friends are a godsend.
Nice to see you Peony.
Hope you and your DMum are feeling better today Ruby.
I have the little one today - she's going home this afternoon and I'll pick her up again tomorrow and have her here until Saturday morning, she's so excited to be staying for 2 nights!
Got a lot of garden tidying done yesterday and took all the old broad bean plants to the tip, still some more to do but that can wait.
Habve a good day, take care. XX14 -
Good morning
A bright start, no rain in the forecast so washing should dry.
No plans made for today, DD and family are arriving Monday week so I really should start making preparations for then. Staring to get gaps in the freezer which will be filled up next week.
Gammon to be cooked for dinner tonight, hopefully some left over for sandwiches tomorrow. Last night we had pizza subs from Ald* which OH said were the worse thing he has eaten, so wont be buying them again.
Ruby, hope mum is doing ok and feeling better.
Peony40, nice to meet you.
Have a good day all, take care.14 -

He has some equipment to deal with it - on our house but close to them and his wife is allergic to the so I think he wants to try and get rid. I think I’m just on ladder duty!Quick trip to b and q after to take advantage of DD’s Wednesday discount 😂
Will probably do some more wood sanding later - I can only do a bit at a time cos I get achey wrists so have to stretch it out.Hope everyone has a good day

Morning - I'm all clean and fresh again, these muggy nights are not pleasant.Yesterday I had a few deliveries from the wee spree I had a last week. New sweatshirt (gorgeous), new cotton rug for upstairs from JL sale (gorgeous) and a new cream for my turkey neck (jury's out). Had a conversation with Amazon about an item I'd ordered - it was described as 'flannel' but turned out to be 100% polyester. I'm not sure that the agent fully understood the legalities but quickly refunded me and told me to keep the goods. Why I'd want to keep it is a mystery to me, it'll head for a CS. Surely 'flannel' means cotton!New plants are on the way to Glasgow and new sandals have been dispatched too. No more spending for the next few months.Anyway...my cleaner is coming this morning so I've tidied round. When he arrives I'll ask him to remove the rug from under the upstairs sofa as I can't lift it. Then the new one can go down. The unwanted one will go to a recycle shop at the bit tip as today is shopping day. I've used up almost every scrap in the fridge and feel very MSE.@Camelot - enjoy your little one. That cake recipe I sent you looks very dense, good luck with it!@Peony - lovely to see you again. When I had my DM's paperwork to go through (she kept almost every single piece of paper which crossed her hands) I did a sift and then got a professional shredding company to do the hard work. The two options were that they could either bring their shredding wagon and do it all immediately or they take it way and do at their depot. I did both. Well worth the expense.I hope that your DM is improving @Ruby. @Mehefin - have you had your follow up appointments yet? How's your haircut @TA?The weather may well clear up this morning but I'm still hesitant about putting a wash on. I'll probably leave it until I get home later.Right - must awa', take care all. Hugs all round.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I had the most rubbishy night I've had for a while. Serves me right for saying I'd had a good sleep t'other night! I start dwelling on something I can't change then can't shake it off.
No rain yet again yesterday despite some light stuff being forecast. They are forecasting showers again for today but I've stopped taking any notice now! Anyway the sun is currently shining!
Bus trip day today. Probably Skipton again. But it's nice to wander around the market and have a nosey in one or two cs before heading for our lunch and a good old natter over our customary bottle of wine! I don't know how long our trips out will last as bus buddy's DH is in the early stages of dementia. He's ok to leave as he is now but who knows for our long. It's a cruel disease.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. I know NAN often has a break from posting when life gets in the way but she's not usually absent for this long. It's a worry when she herself has health problems as well as her DH and DDad's too. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Good morning 😊
It’s looking dry out, so I’ve got two loads on the line. Hoping the rain Gods stay away until it’s all dry.
Twelfth Night was really good. We went with friends, and all enjoyed it. Only downside was we missed the England game, but kept abreast of the score via mobile, and what a game it was. Sunday, we are planning a football gathering for the final. Just have to wait and see tonight, if it’s against Spain, or Germany.
Today, I plan on tidying the bedrooms, and stripping the beds. There isn’t any room on the line, so they won’t get washed until tomorrow, as long as the weather holds up.I also want to do a stock-take of the small freezer again. I’m almost up to date on it all, which will benefit the meal planning I’ve started doing. I need to try to note down on the pad when something goes in or out, as there’s been a few times I was sure something was available, but it’s gone.
Venison steaks came out of the freezer last night, so they will be cooked and served with garlic butter potatoes, steamed broccoli, and fried cabbage with onion. I am having vegan salmon in place of the venison.
Hope you all have a good day 😊11
