Transferring calls with twin cordless phones

Can anyone help please? Probably an obvious one but I want to know if with all twin digital cordless phones you can a) transfer calls from one handset to the other and b) make internal calls. I've looked at information on various phones but can't find the answer.

What kind of phones are they? The info is probably in the instruction manual so if you let us know which phones, maybe someone can help

Thanks for your reply. The one I've been looking at is a BT Freelance XD100 Twin DECT phone which I now know you can do both things with as someone on a web site contacted me. I just wondered if it was general that you could do both things with all twin phones.0

If it helps I have a GAP compliant Twin Binatone handset and the way I can transfer call is by using the transfer button and the other handset no (which in my case is 2, 1 being the main handset).0

I get the feeling that the very fact there are two handsets must mean you can transfer calls and make internal calls!0

I'm afraid that isn't always true! I have tried searching for info on that handset but I couldn't find any indication of it allowing internal calls between handsets and only website indicated it allowed external calls being transferred from one handset to another.
One way you could use to check if it allows external calls being transferring between the 2 handsets and that is next time someone rings pick up the call on one of the handsets and then whilst still on the phone have someone pickup the other handset and check if they can hear the conversation?
If they are not able to hear the conversation then it means that you would have to transfer the call from your own handset to other handset to include them in the conversation! If picking up the second handset allows them to include themselves in the conversation then it isn't likely it supports external calls being transferred between the two handsets.
Does this make sense?0 -

Thanks for your reply. I have actually already got a twinset BT Synergy phone for our business with which you can do both things but we are looking at buying another set for home use and hardly any of the websites I've looked at have indicated whether you can. We bought the other one from Argos and it must have mentioned it in the catalogue. Think I might go back there for this one!0 -
I bought a pair of BT Studio 100 DECT phones for an amazing £19.99 from HERE a couple of weeks ago. You can make internal calls on them.billieboy wrote:Thanks for your reply. And, they've got Caller Display as well so, if THIS comes to fruition, I'm laughing!
They also have a comprehensive section with a good few (pdf) User Guides - see HERE from which you can see what facilities you will get before you buy.Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0
